The devoted Tamil audience went demented in the second half for not just Allu but also for Fahadh Faasil , now it’s time for the rest of the country. Allu Arjun fans were already hyped up for Pushpa 2 : The Rule and indeed it delivered. A movie full of entertainment and manoeuvre , although some netizens rate it moderately but the majority thinks it is a blockbuster and will rule the box office.
Fahadh Fasil’s reprise role
While everybody is talking about the action, Pushparaj-Srivalli chemistry, let’s see how Fahadh Faasil has been in this masterpiece of cinematography. As SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, Fahadh absolutely goes toe to toe with the main lead and earns respect as an actor from the mass audience. People who have seen him before already know that India has very few artists as good as him. Pushpa 2 needed someone like him who balances out the buzzing energy on the big screen. Critics are praising him for his portrayal and unmatched screen presence.
A user on X says “ #FahadhFaasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS in #Pushpa2TheRule Back with a bang! “. Another user says “ #Fafa ‘s shine with his role, His presence consistently elevates the drama, Sukumar’s direction is top-notch ”. This year Fahadh was diagnosed with Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) but does that even affect his skills? Absolutely not.
Dissatisfaction with Faasil’s role
Amidst all the appreciation and hype, some critics are stating that this movie could not use Fahadh’s potential. Few netizens call his role a “joke” as all the viewers including the mass audience expect a lot more from his role especially after Avesham. Interestingly the criticisms are similar to movies like GOAT and Kanguva from the Southern Indian audience. It will be interesting to see that will it fall like the other two or will it surpass this year’s box office records.
A X user says “ It’s better to avoid supporting or villain roles. You have a legacy, don’t spoil it “.
In conclusion his fans demand more serious and lead roles from him where he gets more screen time and gets to showcase his eye captivating skills through acting.
Counterblasts from the audience
The biggest complaint from the fans is that the film yet again suffers from a “second half syndrome”, which means in the second half most of the scenes are easy to predict. Fahadh Faasil could have been involved in a faster narration and the scenes could have been shorter. “Lack of emotional connection” is also a point addressed by a lot of fans as they say they couldn’t feel for the character as they did for other roles like “Ranga”.
Fahadh’s Cartoonish Character – a major complaint which could affect the overall ratings. We have to keep in mind that in these types of mass films the actors’s fan bases are thoroughly invested and want their favourite actor the deserved roles. In this case the portrayal of such roles went underwhelming causing a lot of dissatisfaction.
