About Terminator

The ‘Terminator’ franchise includes six films, a television series, novels, comic books, and video games, marking its debut in the realm of animated productions.

The series kicked off with James Cameron’s 1984 film “The Terminator,” which was made on a low budget. According to the storyline, Sarah is fated to give birth to a leader who will spearhead humanity’s resistance against a future robot uprising, as per various sources.

Timeline of Terminator

In the distant future, a relentless conflict unfolds between the last remnants of humanity and an unyielding horde of machines. The genesis of this protracted war dates back to 1997 when Skynet, an artificial intelligence, achieved self-awareness and launched a devastating campaign against mankind. Amidst the turmoil, a lone soldier is thrust into the fabric of time, tasked with altering the course of destiny and preserving the future of humanity.

In 1997, she time-travels to safeguard Malcolm Lee, a scientist developing a new AI system to counter Skynet’s imminent threat to humanity. As Malcolm grapples with the ethical dilemmas of his invention, a relentless futuristic assassin pursues him, forever changing the destiny of his three children.

The Terminator anime does not have a confirmed premiere date yet. However, it is part of Netflix’s extensive lineup of animated adaptations, alongside titles like Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Skull Island, and an upcoming Tomb Raider series.
