WCD and health department’s public notice
The Delhi Government’s Women and Child Development department and Health department have disassociated themselves with the schemes that were launched by AAP (Aam Aadmi Party). They issued public notice warning the public not to give any private information as the schemes that were launched by AAP are not officially recognized by the government, labeling the data collection as ‘fraudulent and unauthorized.’.
This comes after AAP leaders, Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Atishi, visited several areas launching door-to-door registration of Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana. The government regarded these schemes as fake and warned individuals not to indulge themselves with such fake promising schemes and to resist giving any personal information. The department proclaimed that they wouldn’t be responsible for any frauds or unscrupulous activities.

Response of AAP
Shortly after the public notice, Arvind Kejriwal took to social media and posted that the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana have rattled the department. Within a few days, they would be arresting Chief Minister Atishi in fake cases and will be raiding senior AAP leaders. He claimed that the schemes were genuine promises for the welfare of Delhi citizens and accused the opponent of deliberately planning and executing the action to undermine AAP’s reputation.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh claimed that the advertisements were issued under the pressure of the BJP and action would be taken against the officials. He said that the BJP is full of disdain that they can even use poorly and elderly people in their politics game.
BJP’s criticism
The BJP seized the opportunity to vehemently denounce the opponent and launched the newspaper ad, showing Manoj Tiwari cautioning people to be aware of AAP’s unscrupulous practices. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said that the Delhi government’s own department is issuing statements against their own schemes. This shows that Arvind Kejriwal is trying to promote a digital fraud and is cheating the people of Delhi.
This finger-pointing game has led to a slugfest between the two parties ahead of the Delhi elections, with each party criticizing the other for fraudulent practices to sway away the voters.
