Former Indian Cricketer Gautam Gambhir has provided knowledge about his relations with cricketer Virat Kohli as most of the media posts related to them showcased a bitter controversial bonding between the two cricketers.
Gautam, on the other hand has maintained his calm and has refused all sorts of rumors or the speculations that were brewing around him and Kohli, providing sights regarding their relationship in and outside the cricket field.

The speculations started brewing up since last year the two of them had a smash with each other, while Gautam was the coach of the Lucknow superGiants and Virat being the team captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, . It is necessary to go back in time to the 2013 Indian Premier League, when Gautam Gambhir was the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Virat Kohli led the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In the Chinnaswamy, a stadium in Bengaluru, Karnataka, in the match between KKR and RCB. Gambhir seems to have said something to Kohli when Kohli lost his wicket, which got under Virat’s skin and being angry, he turned around, and that was the first time the two crossed paths on the cricket field. Former KKR player and also international player Rajat Bhatia had to mediate between the two.

Three years later, when there was no possibility of a run-out, the left-hander (Gautam Gambhir) tossed the ball towards the non-striker’s end (Virat Kohli) in an IPL (Indian Premier League) match between RCB and KKR, igniting another intense argument between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli.

Well another interesting facet which we can talk about is of the test match which can also be the reason behind there is so much speculation about the duo. When Gautam Gambhir was out from the white ball squads his only hope remained the red ball. But this hope might also have been shattered as to when Virat Kohli came into the captaincy of the test team of India after MS Dhoni and he basically ignored Gautam Gambhir, maybe because of the failing form of Gambhir.

And then after ten years of the 2013 incident, the incident which followed in 2023 , also revealed their past heated argumentative relationship supposedly to the media although , it was nothing taken personal as confronted by Gautam Gambhir to the media.

All this had started on 10th of May, between 16th and 17th over, when the captain of RCB and the All Rounder of LSG had gotten into a confrontation, and Naveen-Ul- Haq came near Kohli and approached him and shared an interaction with him which made the other in dismay. Amit Mishra, right-arm leg-break bowler, of LSG intervened to defuse the situation, but he ended up getting into a fight.

Gautam has said that, people ain’t getting over gossip so they need something to spice up their lives. Gambhir remarks that the media and the people have nothing to do in the personal lives of both of them.

To further highlight their friendship, Gambhir added that he respects Virat’s dancing skills and would likely pick up his dance if he wanted to learn from the man.
When talking about his friendship with Virat Kohli, former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir said that the public is unaware of what a talented player Virat is. He said that the media should quit making a big deal out of them as they each have distinct personalities.
On the Work front we can see that Virat has incredibly done well in his individual performance in RCB, where he has maintained an average run of 61.43 in the IPL 2024. On the other hand, Gautam Gambhir is the current coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders.
