The golden globe 2024 which is held since 1944 is an annual ceremony that honors the artists in American and international film and television. These awards are presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association who also casts the votes for the golden globes.

Where to watch in India

The 81st Golden globe which is scheduled to air live on Sunday with A list celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Will Ferrell, George Lopez and  who all are presenting the awards .The show will stream on Lionsgate Play at 6:30 AM IST. The show will be live broadcasted from Beverly hills California. The event will be hosted by Jo Koy. This is going to be the first golden globes ceremony after the Hollywood foreign press association which disbanded in 2023.

What will the winner receive

According to the reports by a spanish publication AS the winner of the golden globes will not receive the financial gain immediately but it wont go in vain as it gives global recognition and probability of film winning a golden globes award doing well in award season as well as the recognition at this ceremony can help box office winning for the movie

The golden globes are manufactured at a factory in Oklahoma. The cost of each on is about 800 USD which is Rs 6,65,530.80 as they are made using marble zinc and plated with 24 karat gold.

Who all are the nominees

As per the nominations there are strong competitors this time Oppenheimer and killers of the flower moon are competing for the best motion pictures category, Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese and Greta Gerwig are competing for the best director award.

New Categories this year

The 2023 movie Barbie received the most nominations (9) followed by Oppenheimer (8) two New categories are also introduced this year ‘Cinematic and box office achievement and ‘Best performance in stand up comedy on Television’.
