The little Ramana distant himself from himself and later became a Rowdy (Don). It’s not like he doesn’t love his father Royal Satyam (Jayaram), his aunty (Eswari Rao), his uncle (Raghubabu) and his cousin sister (Meenakshi) but he always want and miss the love of his mother and his relationship with his mother. She left him when he was 10 years old because of an accident.

After 25 years, she now become a minister and want to win the election without any problems. His grandfather ask Ramana to sign the paper and declare he don’t wants to fight against his own mother.
What happened 25 years ago, will Ramana fight the election against his own mother whom he missed the most in his childhood? What will Vasundhara Reddy do? Will she take a step closer to his son or fight against him to win minister’s seat. Will Ramana every express his love and understand his mother’s feelings? You are going to get these questions answers in this film.
Guntur Kaaram Review:
In this time of Indian cinema, the filmmaker most likely chooses stories based on family issues just like Salaar, Animal, Hi Nanna and now Guntur Kaaram is also added it’s name in this list. Now It’s like a trend that all films carry a mutual base story of love for Mommy- daddy. Though all these films’ climax takes different turns. Guntur Kaaram is also similar but carries a different type of spices in this film. You can’t find out what happened next until he hits the theatres. But this film is surely an amazing potboiler. Not to mention that Trivikram Srinivas puts in a good effort to make his story heart touching and tear jerking.

Best point of Guntur Kaaram film:
Mahesh Babu’s acting in this film is surely amazing. His dialogue delivery and every action sequence are very smooth and eye catchy. The way he played the role of Ramana and how he left his family of their mistakes and expressed his love to Sreeleela is extraordinary. I believe he is the main reason audiences want to go to the theatres and watch this film. That funny part when Ramana got drunk and understood who is the threat of his life where he is undoubtedly the best moments. Undoubtedly Manoj Paramahamsa did his best to make Ramana’s character more relevant and perfect which made this film spicy with his looks, action and dialogues.
Parts feels doesn’t work:
Some scenes in this film aren’t required. It looks like he wants to Make Ramana’s life more eventful but forget to give his character some space to understand his feelings. The most key part of this film is the relationship between Ramana and her mother, the emotional attachment somehow cuts short with unnecessary issues and actions which were not important. With some unnecessary actions Thaman’s background score somehow faded the relevance of dialogues. Trivikram’s former works in the films Attarintiki Daredi, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo feels similar but this time it feels out of focus.
Women Characters in Guntur Kaaram:
The character of Amukta Malyada(Sreeleela) aka Ammu who is the beloved of Mahesh Babu mostly seen in shaking her legs or making reel video or dreaming which make her Character irrelevant. A lead heroine should play this rather than these. Hope to see her in some more important role and also the character of Ramana’s Cousin was also feel waste as her always move around Ramana and did nothing.
Conclusion:
This film is really not that good. The motion of this film which was an emotional attachment and its story’s importance somehow missed in this film. In a film of Mahesh Babu, this kind of thing is not really expected. Acting of Ramya Krishnan after Bahubali, the magic of her in seems missing. With some unnecessary, unwanted aspects made this film less Worthy.
