Fans to wait a little longer as The release of the romantic drama “Auron Main Kahan Dum Tha,” starring Ajay Devgan and Tabu, has been postponed according to a recent announcement by NH Studioz on their Instagram page.
Team posted on social media “On request of the exhibitors and the distribution fraternity, it decided to shift the release date of film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. The New release date to be announced ” Viewers were sad in the comments as they were waiting for the theatrical release.
Originally scheduled for July 5, 2024, the studio cited “requests from exhibitors and the distribution fraternity” as the reason for the delay. No date for public launch stated yet.
Recently, the team of movie launched the trailer of the movie starring Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Shantanu Maheshwari, Saiee Majrekar and Jimmy Shergill which has made Auron mai kahan dam tha quite a popular among the audiences.
Theme of the movie
“Auron Main Kahan Dum Tha” is a romantic comedy covering events over twenty years from 2002 to 2023. The trailer hints at the couple’s separation and eventual reunion.
A Star-Studded Production
The film is produced by NH Studioz, Friday Filmworks, Panorama Studios, and features Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Majrekar portraying the younger versions of Devgan and Tabu’s characters, respectively. Jimmy Shergill also stars in the movie.
Original soundtrack of tthis movie has been composed by the Oscar-winning composer MM Kreem. Manoj Muntashir has given the lyrics.

The trailer starts with Ajay Devgan as Krishna with Tabu as Vasudha who believes nobody can separate Krishna and Vasudha. However, the trailer then shows Ajay Devgan in captivity while Tabu with Jimmy Shergill. The part of young Ajay is being acted by Shantanu Maheshwari while Saiee Majrekar will cast as younger version of Vasudha.
Solo Release on New Date
“Auron Main Kahan Dum Tha” was initially scheduled to release alongside the action thriller “Kill,” produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga. It is directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and casts Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Tanya Maniktala, Ashish Vidyarthi and Harsh Chhaya. With the delay, “Kill” is expected to maintain its July 5th release date, granting “Auron Main Kahan Dum Tha” a solo release on its new, yet-to-announced date.
Possible Reason for wait
Some speculate that the postponement might be due to the recent success of “Kalki 2898 AD,” released on June 27, 2024. Distributors might be strategically waiting for the initial buzz around “Kalki” to settle before releasing “Auron Main Kahan Dum Tha.”
The cast of the movie has some quite experienced actors like Ajay Devgan who has given box several office hits like Shaitaan, Maidaan, Drishyam, Singham etc. While the actress Tabu has been seen in many movies like crew, khufiya, Drishyam and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Both the main actors are known for their thriller actions.
Viewers are quite eager to watch another drama with both of them on screen however, with announcement of the delay many fans are disappointed. Some even commented on social media handles of production team to state their sadness. It is being said that the budget is quite big for production of movie.
However, no new date for the release has been declared yet which has left the audiences hanged for now.
