India is set to face New Zealand tomorrow (Sunday) in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 (CWC23). Both teams have not lost any matches.

Both teams have won all four matches they played in their World Cup 2023 campaign. India and New Zealand will be tested by each other, and only one will complete the streak of winning five matches straight. New Zealand is on top of the points table with four wins in four matches, and India is second with four wins in four matches. If India wins, they will be on top of the points table.

After facing Bangladesh on October 19, India will clash with New Zealand on Sunday. The match will be held in Dharamsala, the highest cricket stadium in the world, on October 22. Star Sports and online streaming service Hotstar will live stream the match in India. At 12 p.m., the telecast will begin, followed by the coin toss at 1:30 p.m., and finally, the match will start at 2:00 p.m.

A high-voltage match

It will be a high-voltage test for India and New Zealand, as players from both teams are in form. India’s captain Rohit Sharma is second in the most-run list for the CWC23. In four matches, Rohit made 265 runs with fabulous scores of 0, 131, 86, and 48. Top-order batsman Virat Kohli is behind Rohit in the third spot with 259 runs, with outstanding scores of 85, 55*, 16, and 103*.

From New Zealand, opener Devon Conway is in the top five list of most runs in CWC23. Devon Conway has 249 runs under his belt in four matches with scores of 152*, 32, 45, and 20. The all-rounder Rachin Ravindra performed well by making 215 runs in four matches with scores of 123, 51, 9, and 32. Besides them, opener Will Young made two fifty-plus scores.

Indian bowling attacks have fared well so far in four matches. Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah ranks second in most wickets of the CWC23 with 10 wickets in 4 matches. He has the best bowling figure of 4-39 in 10 overs and also the best bowling average, with an average of 13.40 while grabbing 10 wickets in 4 matches. The duo of Bumrah and Siraj have been doing their jobs well.

New Zealand’s bowling attack is one of the best, and it has performed well. Spinner Mitchell Santner tops the chart for most wickets with 11 wickets in 4 matches. Pacer Matt Henry stands at number four in the list of most wickets, with 9 wickets in 4 matches. Trent Boult is doing what he does best, taking wickets in the powerplay and being economical.

Injuries continue to worry India and New Zealand

Kane Williamson, who just made a comeback in the CWC23 from a knee injury, got injured again during a match with Bangladesh. Williamson injured his thumb accidentally after the ball struck his thumb while he was in a bid to save himself from a runout. It was a major blow for the team, which may miss the clash with India if Williamson fails to recover on time.

Hardik Pandya after injuring his ankle against Bangladesh

During the match with Bangladesh on October 19, Hardik Pandya sustained an ankle injury. Hardik’s injury is a major setback for the Indian team. The all-rounder is a crucial asset for the whole team in bowling, fielding, and batting. Against Afghanistan and Pakistan, the all-rounder bowled well and picked up two crucial wickets in both matches. The all-rounder is set to miss the upcoming clash with New Zealand.
