Bharat Tex is a commemoration of Textile, Tradition , Trade and Technology , wherein the government and export promotion council exhibit the entire value chain at the most prestigious and largest textile show in February . The Grand event is organised by Consortium of 11 Textile Export Promotion Council and supported by Ministry of Textiles. The exhibition will be scheduled at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in the capital. Covering two lakh square feet of space , the event will attract global CEOs, policymakers, thousands of exhibitors , buyers and overseas buyers from over 40 countries .It is regarded as a significant event as it is during the same time as approaching elections
The theme of the mega event is ‘Local for Global’. The textile ministry has contacted global players like Chanel, LVMH, Zara , Uniqlo and Walmart. Nearly 100 Indian Brands like FabIndia, Raymond, Nalli and Arvind Mills will be displayed to compensate for the theme .
Farm to Fashion
Bharat Tex will exhibit the entire value chain and showcase how India is a major player in global supply chain. India aims at surging it’s textile export to $100 Billion and bolster local brands in transforming to bigger International scale brands. Textile industry in India has been a major focus sector since there are significant number of weavers, artisans and workers involved in this Industry. Indian manufacturers cater to big brands as vendors, so the aim is to emerge local players as big scale International players in the textile industry.
‘Made in India’ Branding on steel products
Government of India has promoted labelling ,locally made products with ‘Made in India’ tag . Steel manufacturers add the label to promote and get global recognition using the label. The branding ensures standardised quality and highlights India’s manufacturing potential.
Union Minister of Textiles, Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs and Food & Public Distribution , Shri Piyush Goyal in a speech emphasised that Bharat Tex ,2024 is not a mere event but a witness to India’s dedication to becoming a global textile powerhouse. He claims this expo to be the embodiment of India’s 5F vision – Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign . He encouraged the industries to make their brands globally recognised and make India itself a brand.
Bharat Tex 2024 will cover live demonstrations , cultural events and fashion presentations providing a fun and engaging environment , which would provide insights into the realms of textile, fashion , sustainability and style originating from the Country. Smt Rachna Shah, Secretary of Ministry of Textile , gives a speech claiming that textile industry has a huge potential to increase it’s exports by 2024 . The expo will give the foreign investors a chance to explore India’s strengths and consider it as a profitable place to invest their assets.
