India v/s Sri Lanka: Both Women’s and Men’s Team Set to Face Sri Lanka in Exciting T20 Matches

India is dominating the world in the field of cricket after the victory of Men’s Asia Cup, T20 World Cup, Legends World Cup, India is part of another final of the Women’s Asia Cup Final. The men’s team also set to face Sri Lanka in a bilateral series with a lead of 1-0.

Women’s Cricket

After defeating Bangladesh with 10 wickets in semi-finals, Indian Women’s cricket team is set for a blazing face off with Sri Lankan women’s team.

Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the squad is leading the team towards a defending seventh time winning of the title. She as the captain has led India to the finals without loosing a single match in the whole series. In the opening match, India played an interesting game with India’s biggest rival Pakistan, which was won by India with 7 wickets in hand.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s captaincy is said to be very important for the upcoming T20 World Cup which is planned to be held later in this year. The Asia Cup is not merely a practice for the upcoming World Cup but also a championship which will reinforce India’s dominance over Asia once again.

The Women’s team is decorated with precious gems like Shaifali Verma with an average strike rate of 61.33 while hitting 28 astonishing boundaries and being second in stats of most runs, while in the bowling lineup India has the highest wicket taking bowler Deepti Sharma, dominating the stats table with other two major bowlers Renuka Singh and Radha Yadav who are bowling with economies of only 4.31 and 5.40 only.

India is waiting for another cricket trophy to come home. Whole country is wishing luck to our girls in the Indian Jersey.

 After defeating Sri Lanka in the first match of the bilateral series and having a lead of 1-0. India to face Sri Lanka once again Pallekele International Stadium, Kandy.

In the previous match, Suryakumar Yadav became the highest run scorer with 58 runs on board only in 26 balls earning the title of man of the match. In the bowling squad Riyan Parag have performed extraordinarily with taking 3 wickets only in the 8 balls he bowled. Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel also performed in quality with both of them taking 2 wickets each.

Indian Men’s Cricket team have just won the World Cup T20 Finals on 29th June 2024. They were showered with love all over the country whether on the Delhi Airport, Marine Drive or the Wankhede Stadium. Although the World Cup Victory comes with retirement of the original giants Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja.

Indian Team is playing with the young generation and the newly appointed coach Gautam Gambhir. Suryakumar Yadav is the newly appointed captain for the T20 Cricket format.

Weather Forecast

Weather of Dambulla is partly cloudy without any signs of rain. The average temperature is 32 degree which is favorable for a cricket match. The winds are flowing at a speed of 22 kilometers/hour. The pitch of Dambulla is more batter-friendly while as the ball gets old it can give benefits to spinners. The average score at the venue is approx. 193.

If we talk about Pallekele Stadium the average temperature is 26 but the humidity tends to be high. There are low chances of rain indicating a match without delay. The Pallekele pitch also seems to be batsman friendly, but it might assist fast bowlers with the new ball especially in the power play. Historically, in the T20Is team who put the target on board have won 12 matches out of 23 which indicates a slight advantage to the team who will bat first.
