Team India won against South Africa 1St ODI
Team South Africa was defeated 1st ODI match on Pink Day by New and young team India by 8 wickets. The fans now eagerly waiting for the next to matches at Gqeberha and Paarl on Tuesday and Thursday.
On 17th December India Vs South Africa 1St ODI match occurred at Wanderers, Johannesburg. South Africa had won the toss and chose to bat first on their home ground Wanderers pitch against K.L Rahul’s led team India. But the decision backfired as South Africa lost their top 6 hosts just within 10 over and all South Africa’s players were bowled out within 27.3 o 116 runs as India got its chasing target 117.
Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets in first ten over and recorded his career’s best figure in ODI series, taking 5 wickets for 37. On the other hand Avesh Khan pocketed 4 wickets as Kuldeep Jadav bagged one. Andile Phehlukwayo runs 33 off 49 balls and Tony de Zorzi 28 off 22 were top scorer of SA team. Tony de Zorzi and Nandre Burger made their first debut. Though it is the lowest score of ODI at Wanderers Stadium.
In reply, Sai Sudarshan make his first debut in ODI. Batting in his first ODI Tamil Nadu’s youngster bagged 55 of 43 overs and also hit 88 runs partnership with Shreyas Iyar. On the other hand with the help of 6 and six boundaries S. Iyar scored 52 off 45. Looking into finish the game with a six off Andile Phehlukwayo’s bowling, he was cought by Devid Miler.
India won the match in 16.4 overs and lead 1-0 in this series.
