“The World Cup is Home” Team meets the Prime Minister, whole Country is Covered in Tricolor Celebration.

With the shining trophy of the ICC T20 World Cup, the Indian Cricket team under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, has returned home to India after winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados. The team arrived in New Delhi on this Thursday morning and is scheduled to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India at the PMO office between 10 AM and 12 PM.

Team India’s Journey to the Finals

After the team’s arrival in the USA, India first faced Bangladesh in a warm-up match which was secured by our team with an enormous amount of 60 runs. In the group stage matches which was held in different regions of the United State of America, the Indian cricket stayed at the top with winning all the matches and one match being abandoned due to rain.

 After this India and USA from the Group A reached West Indies. India performed extraordinarily in the Super Eight and after knocking Australian Cricket team the prominent rivalry from the race of semifinals, India reached semifinals. South Africa, England, Afghanistan alongside India also reached the Semifinals of ICC organized T20 world cup.

A thrilling match took Place between India and England and with the efforts of whole team and specially the bowling line up India made its way for the finals. Axar Patel performed extraordinarily well and was awarded with the title of Man of the Match.

World Cup Win

Indian cricket team won the semifinal match and headed for Barbados where the finals are scheduled, on the other hand South Africa defeated Afghanistan in a very trouble-free clash and headed for Barbados as well.

In Barbados, we witnessed India versus South Africa in a race to win their long waited ICC trophy. This match was told be a clash between “chokers of decade” and “chokers of century”. India scored 176 runs, with 76 runs from the bat of Virat Kohli. And with an extraordinary show off of Jasprit Bumrah. And with Hardik Pandya saving India’s back in the last over and defending 16 runs.

India lifted the world cup on the land of Barbados and everywhere it was painter with tricolor. Fans were overwhelmed, whole country was filled with joy, streets were filled with fans waving the reputed tricolor flag and the slogans praising the mother land and team that made the mother nation proud in front of the whole world

Meet With The Prime Minister

The team buses were escorted by a heavy security cordon as they traveled from the airport to the ITC Maurya hotel in Delhi. At the hotel, the team was greeted with a grand reception, including a specially-made cake celebrating their World Cup triumph. The chef who made this cake was overwhelmed and shed tears of joy and congratulated the Indian team.

After a brief rest, the team will head to the Prime Minister’s Office to meet with PM Modi. This meeting is one of the celebrating events for the team’s majestic World Cup win, India’s first T20 title. BCCI President Roger Binny, who was part of India’s 1983 World Cup winning team, will also be present at the meeting. The team’s interactions with the Prime Minister and fans are a testament to the immense pride and joy their World Cup victory has brought to the nation.

Cup’s Homecoming

Following the meeting with the PM, the team will travel to Mumbai, where they are expected to participate in a victory parade and celebration. This was first illuminated by a tweet from the BCCI Secretary Jay Shah. The parade will head towards Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium at 5:00 PM, it is a big victory which celebration ought to be big.
