PM Modi greets Brunei. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Brunei on a historic visit, marking the first time an Indian Prime Minister has made a bilateral visit to the South Asian country. The visit, which coincides with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Brunei, was warmly welcomed by the Crown Prince, Highness Haji-ul-Muhtadi Ballah.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome from Indian diaspora when he arrived in Brunei. During the visit, he met with members of the Indian community, fostered strong ties and indicated the expatriate community’s commitment to strengthening India-Brunei relations. “Landed in Brunei Darussalam & Looking forward to strong ties between our nations, especially in boosting commercial and cultural linkages” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the two countries are “important partners” in the Act East policy” which is India.” He said his meetings will strengthen ties with the two countries and the greater ASEAN region Modi will embark on a two-nation visit from September 3 to 5, starting in Brunei.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Singapore has generated much excitement and reflects the growing of India’s economic influence and relations in various sectors. Singapore is poised to play a major role in fueling and stimulating this growth. R Rajaram, chairman of the advisory board of the Indian Heritage Center and registrar of the National University of Singapore, expressed the potential for cooperation between the two countries in a statement.
