Controversy related Vinesh Phogat

The controversy related Vinesh Phogat was not ended. According to the reports, Court of Arbitration of Sports (CAS) will tell the final decision today at 9:30 p.m. But CAS told the that final decision will be told by 11th August i.e. at the final day of Olympics. Thomas Bac, President of International Olympics Committee said that there is no rule for giving the joint silver, but they should follow what the verdict of CAS. Harish Salve is the lawyer of Vinesh in CAS.

Aman won Bronze, grabs 6th medals for the nation

On the other hand, in men’s wrestling of 57kg Aman Sehrwat won the bronze medal by defeating Darian Curz of Puerto Rico. Aman is the youngest ever Olympic medalist this year. He made a dominant win over 13-5. He turned 21 on July 16 this year.

Before him PV Sindhu was the youngest Olympian to win medal in Rio 2016. He won silver medal that time at the age of 21 years, one month and 14 days.

Sehrwat helped India to win the 6th medal. Till now India won one silver and five bronze medals.

India’s Campaign in Olympics

Though the India’s campaign in Paris Olympics comes to an end with 6 medals. The number can increase to 7 if CAS give the verdict in favor of Vinesh Phogat tomorrow and give him a joint silver. Reetika Hooda also lost against Aiperi Medet Kyzy in the women’s freestyle 76kg in the quarterfinal. Unfortunately, India can’t grab a gold this year.

The sad thing is India missed so many medals by a chance in many sporting events. So many athletes came to 4th position and missed the bronze medal. Arjun Babuta in air rifle finished 4th, Manu Baker in 50m Shooting finished 4th (though he held record by grabbing two bronze medals, one in singular event and another with Sabarjeet Singh), Ankita and Dheeraj in archery also finished 4th, Laxya Sen in men’s badminton finished 4th, Mirabai Chanu also finished 4th. But we should be proud of our athletes who represents our country and give their utmost effort to bring the success of our country.

Those athletes who bring the medals for our nation, we should also respect them. Manu Baker, who failed in the Tokyo Olympics brings two medals this time. This teaches us never give up! Swapnil Khusale fan of MS Dhoni teaches us how to dedicate in life. Respect and proud of our Hockey team. In the quarter final match, they played the match with 10 players, but still they bring the bronze medal.

Last but not the least, our Golden Boy, Neeraj Chopra. Few months ago, he suffered from injury. Recovering from injury he came to Olympics and grabs the silver medal. Though he can’t win Gold like he did last time, but we should proud of this athlete. His friend from Pakistan, Nadeem with a record throw of 92m grab the Gold this time.

Congratulations, to each and everyone of our athletes. Proud of you team India. You gave your utmost effort in “Greatest show on Earth”. All the best for Los Angels Olympics in 2028.
