The Director of Delhi Capitals Saurav Ganguly has shared a very pleasing update regarding Rishabh Pant’s comeback. He said “ He’s good now, He will play in the next IPL season” referring to Indian batsman and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant.

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant met with a life-threatening car accident in December 2022 when he was returning back to his hometown. He suffered from major head, back, and leg injuries leading to several surgeries. After a long break since the accident and going through a lot of recovery, Pant was finally seen in NCA, Banglore undergoing rehabilitation. According to the NCA medical team, he is making good progress and could make a comeback by January 2024. It is speculated that If Pant manages to recover completely and stay in his top form, he could be seen playing the test series against England in January 2024.

Rishabh Pant was seen in Kolkata where the Delhi Capitals Franchise had hosted a 3-day preparatory camp for their players at Jadavpur University Second Campus Cricket ground in Saltlake, Kolkata. Players were seen practicing in the nets. The former BCCI president told that Pant is doing good now and he’ll be definitely back soon. Rishabh Pant was seen without any knee straps while strolling around the camp.
Under Pant’s absence, Delhi capitals was led by Australian Batsman David Warner. The DC Team did not do well in the IPL 2023 season standing on the ninth postion in the IPL point table . Every DC fan is waiting for Pant to make an impactful comeback and lead his team decisively through the season of IPL 2024.

Pant is known for his spectacular batting and wicketkeeping skills. He’s been quite active on social media updating about his speedy recovery. Reports say that Pant is all set to lead his franchise once again in the 17th season of domestic T20 league which denies the earlier reports stating the franchise is going to keep Rishabh as an impact player. Pant was seen to join the discussion of retention and release of players ahead of the upcoming IPL auction on December 19th in Dubai. The IPL auction 2024 has 333 players in the list with just 77 positions available for players across all the teams to be filled.
With T20I World Cup 2024 approaching , Pant’s performance in IPL will play an important and deciding role for his selection in the squad by BCCI. Hope to see Rishabh Pant back in the game with his Jersey no.17 and make his way through the squad .
