It has been over 2 years the conflict between Hamas and Israel has started, which turned into an all-round genocide in Gaza, led by the right-wing Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu

Over 90 individuals were killed in an Israeli airstrike this Saturday on an attempt of striking the commander of Hamas in Southern Gaza. This was reported by the enclave’s Health Ministry, who said that this attack was targeted over Mohammad Deif, the military’s head. Although it remains unclear whether Deif was even killed or not.

The militant anti-Zionist group Hamas said that Israel’s claim of targeting their commander was false and a deliberate lie to excuse their attack on civilians, which happened to be the most disastrous attack over Gaza.

The displaced people also faced mass displacement as the attack destroyed their tents, describing various bodies and parts strewn on the ground.

The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) reportedly said that the strike against Deif also targeted Rafa Salaman, who has been a commander of Khan Younis Brigade of Hamas, describing the both as the masterminds of the October 7 attack on Southern Israel.

Deif has escaped seven assassination attempts by the Israeli forces, most recent in 2021 and has always been on the top of the most wanted list of Israel for a decade, who had accepted his association with multiple deaths of Israelis due to suicide bombings.

The Health Ministry of Gaza said that at least 90 were killed and more than 300 were injured in the recent strikes.

Al-Mawasi, designated as a humanitarian area, has been a place the Israeli army has repeatedly advised Palestinians to move to following evacuation orders from other regions.

Reuters footage captured ambulances speeding towards the area amidst billowing smoke and dust. Displaced individuals, including women and children, were seen fleeing in panic, clutching their belongings.

The Israeli military released an aerial photo of the site, which Reuters could not immediately verify, claiming that “terrorists hide among civilians.”

Many of those injured in the strike, including women and children, were transported to the nearby Nasser Hospital. Hospital officials reported that the overburdened and no more treatment is made to be possible due to repeated Israeli attacks and the shortage of medical supplies.

Dr. Atef al-Hout, the hospital’s director, stated that the hospital was packed with patients and the wounded, and that they couldn’t find beds for everyone. He noted that it was the only hospital still operating in southern Gaza.

Yoav Gallant, the Israeli Defence Minister  held special consultations, in response to “developments in Gaza.”

Ayala Metzger, the daughter-in-law of an Israeli hostage participating in a hostage solidarity march just outside Jerusalem on Saturday, expressed uncertainty about the situation. She mentioned that she didn’t know about Mohammed Deif but felt that continuing the war was detrimental to everyone.

She emphasized the need to bring the hostages back and speculated that if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had killed Mohammed Deif, he had his picture of victory, so the hostages should be brought back now.
