As we are all aware, thousands of people have died in Israel after the surprise Hamas attack.
The Hamas Militants crashed the music festival as sirens started going out. The Hamas fighters attacked the Israeli area close to the border by air, sea, and land many civilians were taken as hostages, and a thousand were killed.
While most celebrities, politicians, and media outlets seem to be siding with Israel, overlooking the years-long occupation that Israel has been keeping Palestine under, with mass shootings for non-violent protests, regular bombing of residential areas in Gaza, and monstrous killing of children, the leaders of many other countries like Egypt, Turkey, Morocco, Qatar, etc have been giving warnings to Israel to immediately halt the continuous displacing of Palestinian people in Gaza.
Qatar’s threat to Israel
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry of Qatar said that Israel alone is responsible for the ongoing escalation of violence with the Palestinian people. It also said that Qatar calls on both sides to exercise utmost restraint and on the international community to prevent Israel from using these events as an excuse to launch a disproportionate war against Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
Sheikh Tamim Ibn Hamad Al Thani of Qatar has threatened to stop the gas supply globally if the bombing of Gaza doesn’t stop.
Celebrities have been sharing their thoughts on social media:
Many celebrities have openly shown their support for Israel by posting flags and videos while many chose to stay silent or share words of condolences for both parties, unwilling to choose sides.
The Israeli actress, Gal Gadot, posted the flag of Israel on Instagram in support of her home country. She has publicly expressed her support for Israel for years even before the Hamas’ attack.
Natalie Portman has posted on Instagram, “My heart is shattered for the people of Israel. Children, women, and the elderly have been murdered and abducted from their homes. I am in horror at these barbaric acts and my heart is pounding with love and prayer for the families of all affected.”
The WWE fighter took to Instagram and shared his feelings and thoughts with the people.

Many celebrities spoke out against Israel in 2021 when they were trying to make a ruling in court on whether they could kick out Palestinian residents out of their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood to make place for Jewish Settlers.
Then, the model, Gigi Hadid, whose father is a Palestinian, shared on her Instagram story, ”You Will Not Erase Palestine”
This time, the model has chosen to be neutral and has asked for peace for the innocent people of Israel and Palestine.
Bella Hadid has always been a public supporter of Palestine. She was in rallies and protests when Israel was kicking Palestinian people out of their homes to make a place for Jewish Settlers in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. She commented on her sister’s post, Alana Hadid, “My sisters and I, we speak in a family group chat every day. Mostly about Palestine and all that goes on. It is so hard to put into words how I feel,”
The world is becoming an intolerable place for people when colonization and occupation are going on for years over innocent people. Militant groups like Hamas are bound to emerge if the occupation doesn’t end otherwise, the situation can become much worse and the world will be sitting on the edge of World War 3 very soon.
