In spite of Nepal’s 23-run loss here on Tuesday, cricketers from that country showed a lot of promise by putting up a fierce fight as Yashasvi Jaiswal led India to the Asian Games semifinals.

Jaiswal, the new face of Indian cricket, became the nation’s youngest T20I centurion after scoring 100 runs in 49 balls to help India reach a respectable 202 for 4.

Another victory for India in Asian games 2023

Indian women’s cricket team defeated Sri Lanka by a score of 19 runs to win gold at the Asian Games on September 25. Indian boys win today and advance to the semifinals.

India is in fourth place on the points table as of the start of Day 10 of the 2018 Asian Games in Hangzhou with 13 gold, 24 silver, and 23 bronze medals.

Indian men’s team defeats Nepal and qualifies to the semifinals in Asian games 2023

The Indian men’s cricket team defeated Nepal by 23 runs in the quarterfinal to go to the Asian Games 2023 semifinals.

India was able to break the 200-run threshold because to Jaiswal’s performance. Before Rinku Singh performed a 37-run cameo of 15 balls with the help of two fours and four sixes, Tilak Varma and Jitesh Sharma were out for single digit runs. With two fours and a six, Shivam Dube scored 25 runs off 19 balls by making superb use of the long handle.

With two wickets, Dipendra was the best bowler for Nepal. Each of Sandeep Lamichhane and Sompal Kami secured a wicket.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, the youngest Indian to score a T20I century, laid the groundwork for the victory with an outstanding century at the plate. At the very end, Rinku Singh also made a brief appearance and helped India reach 202/4.Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan both took three wickets with the ball, and R Sai Kishore also recorded a wicket in his first T20I match.

On Friday, October 6 at 6:30 AM IST, India will take the field in the men’s cricket semi-final in Hangzhou. Rinku Singh’s 15-ball 37 from the quarterfinal at Hangzhou 2023 can be relived in the interim.

India’s young opening duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad wasted no time in launching an early attack on the Nepali bowlers in their encounter against that nation. They accomplished the feat of scoring 50 runs in only 4 overs.  Jaiswal’s ferocious innings saw him reach a scorching half-century in just 22 balls, which he did with a magnificent six in the seventh over of the game.

Ruturaj, who was stabilizing the game, regrettably left the field in the 10th after collecting 25 runs thanks to Dipendra Singh Airee of Nepal.

When Avesh Khan knocked Aasif Sheikh in the fourth over with the score at 10, he made a key breakthrough that caused Nepal to fall behind in their chase of the challenging mark. Despite trying to keep the innings steady, Nepal suffered another setback when Kushal Bhurtel, who had scored 28 runs, was dismissed by Sai Kishore in the ninth over.

Different Team same spirit

The third and final One Day International (ODI) game between Team India and Australia is planned for Wednesday. If Team India wins, it will be the first ever ODI whitewash. India has not previously accomplished this in an ODI format. Regardless of the quantity of games played in a series, neither Australia nor India have ever accomplished it at both home and away stadiums.

Teams for Asian games and ODI series are different. However, both are flourishing. Cricketers like Shubhman Gill, Rinku Sigh, and Yashaswi Jaiswal have a promising future for Team India.
