JAMMU: On Wednesday, four army men comprising two captains including two other persons were killed by the terrorists while they had an encounter with a team of security forces in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to him, “Another round of reinforcement forces was sent to the area and two terrorists were captured there.” According to officials, two captains, one havildar and one jawan died in this encounter. They said a major and another jawan were injured and moved to army’s command hospital in Udhampur.
Shortly, there was an explosion between militants along with a concurrent hunt by army and police units of the city of Dharmasala.
According to special intelligence, joint operations commenced in the Kalakote sector of Gulabgarh woodland in Rajouri on Sunday as per posting at X by White Knight Corps army.

Additional troops have been introduced in this operation, and officials say that the operation is being intensified. According to local residents, a cordon-and-search operation has been conducted there since Sunday aiming to find terrorists who operate in this region.
A villager of this place told PTI, “Because of the operation our families were asked to remain at home and to stay away from it. Therefore our children stayed at home and didn’t go to school.”
The officials noted that the two terrorists were stuck up at the encounter site in Bajimaal, who seemed foreigners and have been wandering around within this region since Sundays.
Moreover, those people mentioned that they sought refuge in an institution where there are many God fearing persons within.

Ten soldiers were killed by two earlier ambushes that occurred around Mendhar area in Poonch and Kandi forest in Rajouri on March 20 and May 5 respectively.
Officially it has been reported that about 46 deaths due to terrorism have occurred in the neighbouring districts of Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi during the first quarter of this year.
Twenty-three people, including seven terrorists and nine security officers perished in Rajouri while fifteen terrorists and five security officers died in Poonch district. Three terrorists were killed in Reasi district.

Jammu defence spokesperson stated, “Quari died in the shoot out; he is a Pakistani national and hardcore terrorist,”.
His spokesperson said: That he was trained as a terrorist leader in Pakistan and Afghanistan. He is a very top terrorist leader of the Lashkar-e-Taiba.” For the last one year he has been very active in Rajouri-Poonch with his gang and has also been credited for the Dangri and Kandi attacks.
The spokesperson indicated that the Quari was sent to resurrect jihad in the region. The officer also stated, “He is an expert in IEDs, operating and hiding in caves and a trained sniper.”
Day two saw a clash between terrorists and security forces in the dense forests of Bai ji Maal in Kalakote sub-district of Rajouri district of J&K where both parties traded fire, said official sources.
The encounter came in the Baaji Maal forests after security operations were instituted based on intelligence about terrorists.According to officials, four soldiers, comprising two captains, died in this encounter with one additional soldier injured.
A source stated that a larger number of policemen got injured in the current gun battle. He however, could not indicate the exact number of the injured personnel.
The last reports indicated that intense shooting was taking place there.
