On Friday Jaishankar External Affairs Minister Of India responding to the queries from AIMIM member on action being taken against individuals who are misleading youth to join the Russian army and whether India will stop purchasing Discounted Oil from Russia if they don’t respond to the Plea to release Indians in their Countries Army.
The Minister told the Lok Sabha that the CBI has registered a Criminal case against 19 individuals and entities who misled many Indian Citizens to join Russia while evidence was provided against 10 human traffickers whose identities the government knows. Two of them accused were officially arrested on April 24 and other two on May 7.
“We should not jump the gun and say Russians are not serious on this matter. I think it is important to hold the Russian government to their word and most important for us, We are here to get back those 69 people because Indian citizens should not be serving in the army of foreign countries” said the Minister on the question hour.
He also added that so far there are totally 91 cases regarding Indian Nationals being recruited in the Russian Army by misleading them . Out of these nearly 8 of them were passed away making the news more sensational and 14 more Indians were released or some other manner have returned with government’s assistance. According to the report of the Minister , there are 69 Indians waiting for the release to come back to India.
Out of 8 died , mortal remains of four have been sent to India and in other cases , the family wanted the body to be cremated in Russia

The Problem behind bringing them back is that the Russian government says that those Indian Nationals have been indulged in a Contract for services . In response to this , the Minister has added his point that in many cases people were intentionally misled and when they wanted to leave ,were involuntarily deployed in the Russian Army. He also highlighted that this issue has been taken very very seriously and even talked about this many times to the foreign Minister of Russia .
Our honourable Prime Minister Mr. Modi ,on his visit to Russia last month has personally expressed the seriousness about the issue , where Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin assured of discharging Indian Nationals soon . But his Assurance was merely a fake guarantee where no significant steps were taken.
While addressing this Issue , Mr. Jaishankar also responded to the queries regarding instances of Cyber trafficking of people who were also misled, taken to south east Asia and forced to work on Cyber scams and other related issues.
He after addressing all issues exposed that the government have taken it up with all the concerned Political levels for the repatriation and nearly 650 Indians from Cambodia , 415 from Myanmar and 548 from Laos were brought back home
Finally he concluded saying both State and Central government has to work together and be very vigilant in all issues and vigorous in bringing back our Nationals home.
