The elections are upcoming in the state of Jharkhand. With elections to take place in the state recently, campaign and election rallies can be seen.
The INDIA bloc released its manifesto for the upcoming assembly polls on November 5 in Jharkhand. The manifesto announced promises and the key promises include 10 lakh jobs, health cover of Rs. 15 lakh.
The manifesto released features seven guarantees. The joint document was released by the members of INDIA bloc in the presence of the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge among other prominent leaders at the event.
What are the seven guarantees
The joint manifesto released by the alliance consists of seven guarantees and the document released said ‘Ek vote Saat guarantee.’
The guarantee included that to bring policy based on the Khatiyan of 1932, to implement Sarna Dharma code along with preserving regional language and culture.
The next guarantee is of Maiya Samman Yojana, for women starting from the month of December an honorarium of Rs.2,500 will be provided. Under this scheme of Maiya Samman Yojana the women are getting Rs.1,000 per month presently as financial assistance.
The manifesto also promised guarantees of social justice by providing reservations. As per the manifesto the reservation of 28 per cent to ST, reservation of 12 per cent to SC and a reservation of 27 per cent to OBCs will be provided.
The other guarantees included providing a ration of 7 kg per person and also the price of gas cylinders to be Rs.450 for poor families will be made available.
Furthermore, on the issue of employment the guarantee of employment included providing 10 lakh jobs and employment opportunities to the youth of Jharkhand. The manifesto document also stated that a health insurance cover of around Rs. 15 lakhs will be provided to families.
In the education sector Degree Colleges to be set up in blocks, engineering, medical colleges and universities will be built at district headquarters promised by the alliance. Construction of industrial parks
For the upliftment of farmers the Minimum support price will be increased. The minimum support price (MSP) for paddy will be increased from Rs.2,400 to Rs.3,200 and the support price for lac, tasar, karanj, tamarind etc., to be increased by 50 per cent.
The election dates for the assembly election have been announced. In Jharkhand the assembly election for 81 seats will be held on November 13 and November 20. The results of the election will be declared on November 23.
