Park Jimin alias Jimin and Jeon Jungkook alias JK released the 1st episode of their most anticipated travel-log series “Are You Sure?” on 8th of August.
Disney Plus: On August 8, 2024, Hybe released the first episode of its new travel-log series “Are You Sure” on global platform Disney+. The series features global superstars Jimin and Jungkook of BTS. New Episodes are scheduled to be uploaded every thursday. The series consists of a total of 8 episodes with an average running time of 1 hour. As of thursday, 2 episodes have been uploaded.
Jimin and Jungkook are currently serving their mandatory 2 years of military service along with their fellow members, however every member is serving with a different contingent. Meanwhile Kim Seok-Jin alias Jin got discharged two months ago after completing his military service. Jin also prepared a special event of hugging 1000 lucky Armys to celebrate BTS’s 11th Anniversary right after his discharge.
Jimin and Jungkook enrolled as buddy soldiers and are currently serving together in order to strengthen their bonds. The duo treat each other like best friends despite two years of age gap which is pretty evident in behind-the-scenes and video sketches of their albums. Their strong, sweet and sour dynamics can be spotted easily in the travel documentary series, “Are you sure?”.
Earlier on the show Suchwita, hosted by Suga of BTS, it was revealed that Jimin wanted to go on a vacation with Jungkook and turn it into a travel-log for their beloved fanbase Army.
The title of the documentary, “Are you sure?” itself carries another story of being chosen. In the pre-released teaser of the documentary, Jimin and Jungkook were seen asking each other whether what they were doing was right or not before doing anything. They seemed puzzled over a lot of things as they asked each other ‘ ‘Are you sure about this?’, ‘Is this right?’ and eventually they named it so, depicting the uncertainty they encountered as they embark on a new adventure. “Are you sure?” won the naming race against “Getaway 1” and “Feeling free”.
The jubilant atmosphere and playful teasing shown in the teaser and trailer spiked fans’ anticipation of its release. The duo checks out their dynamic to-do list including raw canoes themselves, sailing on a boat and diving into sea playfully challenging sharks, riding bikes freely on the road, playing with snow and many more. The documentary, “Are you sure?”, shows new side of them as they plan to just go with flow and haveing fun amidst the uncertainities.
The series, “Are you sure?”, captures unfiltered and unpredictable fun stories. ‘Though it’s a travel-log it captures all of our ups and downs’ said Jimin in the announcement video. ‘You will be seeing more than just moments of relaxation. ‘You’ll see us as we are in various and truly unfiltered moments’, continued Jungkook. I’m not even sure if it’s okay to release this, jokes Jimin.
Before, they had traveled to Tokyo once as a duo and shared pics with the Armys. The moments captured in Tokyo were widely loved by their fans that motivated Jimin to record another travel-log with his companion Jungkook.
On the work dynamics, Jimin and Jungkook both, as solo artists, are world record holders with their albums and solo tracks. Jimin’s new release “Who” is trending #2 on Spotify worldwide whereas Jungkook holds the record of the most streamed track on Spotify Charts in one week (male) with his solo track Seven feat. Latto.
Besides them, the other member’s albums also performed great on global charts, undoubtedly. It’s been 1 year since Kim Tae-Hyung alias Taehyung released his record-breaking masterpiece “Layover”.
Soon after completing their military service in 2025, BTS will resume their group activity suspended due to mandatory military services. Although the group is serving in the military right now, they have a lot of pre-recorded content under their hands that are scheduled until their return.
