Universal has publicly released the first look of Jurassic World Rebirth directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One – A Star War Story And The Creator) and written by David Koepp (Scriptwriter of the original Jurassic Park) the seventh film in the 31-year-old franchise, stars Scarlett Johansson (MCU) who in previous interview teased how excited she was to be part of such an incredible movie, Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton and Fellow Travellers) and Mahershala Ali in lead roles.
Synopsis
According to the official synopsis from Universal Studios the film takes place five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, in which the earth’s ecosystem has become largely hostile to dinosaurs. The lasts of these dinosaurs survive in secluded equatorial world with climate similar to that of the one in which they once flourished. The three most enormous creatures in this tropical environment have the solution, a drug that brings unbelievable life-saving advantage to the humankind.
Characters And Plotlines
Universal studio also went into detail about many of the characters and their roles in the film. Zora Bennett played by Scarlett Johansson is an undercover operation expert, who has been hired and is responsible to lead the team taking out DNA from the three most gigantic dinosaur species left alive. Duncan Kincaid played by Mahershala Ali is Zoras’s partner, Jonathan Bailey plays the role of Dr. Henry Loomis a palaeontologist and Martin Krebs, the diplomat of the drug empire funding this excursion is played by Rupert Friend (Homeland). Bechir Sylvain from BMF, Ed Skrein from Deadpool and Philippine Velge from Station Eleven finally are other members of Zora’s team.
Cast And Crew
After coming upon a civilian family “whose boating excursion was wrecked by marauding aquatic dinos,” they find themselves all stuck on an island where they have to confront a shocking and lethal revelation that has been kept a secret from the world for many years.
Reuben Delgado, the patriarch of the family that has been shipwrecked is played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo from The Lincoln Lawyer, other members of his family are Luna Blaise from Manifest, David Iacono from The Summer I Turned Pretty and lastly Audrina Miranda from Lopez vs. Lopez.
The film is being produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley and Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart and Jim Spencer are also taking part as the executive producers.
The new film Jurassic World Rebirth, will be an entirely new story with a fresh cast and a separate entity from the Jurassic World trilogy that was headlined by Chris Pratt and starred Bryce Dallas Howard. All three Jurassic World movies in the trilogy had earned more than $1 billion each at the worldwide box office.
Jurassic World Rebirth is set to release in cinemas on July 2, 2025.
