Kangana Ranaut the BJP MP who recently won in the Lok Sabha elections from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh was allegedly slapped by CISF jawan at the airport before boarding a flight to Delhi.
New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force constable slapped the Actor and BJP MP for making a comment that “disrespected farmers”. The incident took place right before her boarding a flight to Delhi from Chandigarh.
The actor-turned-MP was allegedly told by the paramilitary officer that Ms. Ranaut had been slapped because she was “disrespecting farmers” a reference to the farmer’s 15-month-long protest against the farm legislation, which have since been repealed, as well as other problems including a legal guarantee of minimum support price in 2020–21.
The lady constable is being questioned after the CISF Commandant took note of the incident. One of her assistants also notified the local police, says reports.
After reaching in Delhi, Kangana Ranaut was silent when speaking with reporters. Yesterday she took Instagram and posted a picture with the caption, “On my way to parliament.” “Mandi ki sansad.”
Later this evening, Ms. Ranaut made a video statement on X, expressing her concerns over the rise in terrorism in Punjab despite her safety.
“I’m secure. I’m doing great. At the security check-in, the event took place. The female guard bided her time till I crossed. Then she struck me from the side. She began hurling curse words. Why did she hit me, I asked? “I support farmers,” she declared. I’m not in danger, but I’m worried about the rise in terrorism in Punjab. How do we respond to that?” stated Ms. Ranaut.
The “Rs 100” comments made by Ms. Ranaut during the 2020 farmer’s protest incensed the CISF policeman. Ms. Ranaut is an actor turned MP. “The farmers are waiting for ₹ 100, according to her remark. Is she going to go sit there? When my mother made this testimony, she was sitting there objecting,” the officer said.
Later, the cop was placed under suspension and brought to jail. The Central Industrial Security Force issued an order for a court of inquiry regarding the occurrence after receiving a formal complaint against her.
The BJP MP said that she was slapped in the face by a constable who had come to her from the side before she started to insult her. The officer said she supported the farmer demonstrations when Kangana questioned her about the motive for the attack.
Kangana Ranaut’s post in 2020:
Let’s go back to 2020, when a large number of farmers marched against the now-scrapped agricultural regulations towards Delhi.
When Kangana Ranaut mistook an elderly protester for Bilkis Bano, a well-known character from the Shaheen Bagh demonstrations, she courted controversy during the farmers’ protests. Kangana had made a remark that the woman was “available for Rs 100” to participate in protests in a since-deleted tweet.

Significant criticism and anger followed this comment, including a vocal altercation on X between actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh and actress Kangana Ranaut, who warned the latter to quit stirring animosity and criticized the former for propagating false information.
Even though Kangana removed the tweet in response to harsh criticism, she received many legal Summons requesting an unreserved apology for her “derogatory” statement.
