She shared how it boosts her sex life in a podcast.

Kate Winslet reveals that she underwent testosterone replacement therapy that helped her to boost her libido.

On the How to Fail with Elizabeth Day podcast, she said “Sometimes women have a real dip in libido because there might be stuff going on with their thyroid… There could also be stuff going on with your level of testosterone,”

She further advised ways for listeners to reignite their sexual desire with their partners.

A 48-year-old actress further added “A lot of people don’t know this, but women have testosterone in their body, when it runs out – like eggs – it’s gone. And once it’s gone you have to replace it, and that is something that can be done and you’ll feel sexy again … I know.”

She continued “I think women as they get older get juicier and sexier and more embedded in their truth of who they are and more powerful, more able to walk through the world and care less and that is an empowering thing.”

The Hollywood star assured women by saying “It’s not your fault, our bodies are weird, and they behave in strange ways especially as we get older,” Winslet said. “So, there could be a dip in those hormonal levels for you that is contributing much more than you think to how you’re feeling about having sex with your boyfriend, so I would go ahead and do that.”

When she was asked about her own body she replied “I’m great with it – I think I look flipping amazing. We have to own it; this is the thing.”

Kate Winslet, who is married to her husband Abel smith, admitted that she felt ‘sexy’ again because of the treatment, which is known as TRT or testosterone replacement therapy, which helped her to restore her testosterone levels.

She showed concerns about women and encouraged them to check their libido dip and testosterone levels which might be, as per her views, a reason for low sex drive.

The Titanic star has openly talked about women’s issues and against body shaming in the past.

Her new movie, Lee, was released on 13 September 2024 in the UK and made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month.
