Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: BJP Releases Election manifesto Sankalp Patra

Elections are set to take place in Maharashtra. With the election date forthcoming campaigns and rallies in the state can be seen by different parties.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its manifesto for the Maharashtra assembly election.  The key promises in the manifesto include increase in financial assistance to women, loan waiver to farmers, jobs etc., among others.

The manifesto titled ‘ Sankalp patra’ was unveiled on Sunday November 10 by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Union Minister Piyush Goyal, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis and other leaders were present at the launch event of the manifesto. The manifesto focuses on different areas and includes 25 point highlights.

Maharashtra Election manifesto key points

The manifesto ‘Sankalp patra’ highlights 25 points. Some of the key points includes, the manifesto promises the financial support to women in the state under Ladki Bahin Yojana to increase from Rs.1,500 to Rs.2,100 . Loan waiver to farmers.  Food and shelter will be provided to poor people in the state.

Focusing on the financial security for the elderly the manifesto mentions an increase in the old age pension to Rs.2100 per month.

The next point in the document includes the stabilisation of price for essential items so that it can be made affordable. On employment, BJP promises to create 25 lakh jobs. For students as per the manifesto Rs 10,000 will be given to students per month to support the education and this will be provided to around 10 lakh  students in the state, the document stated. Furthermore, farm tracks will be made in 45,000 villages.

The manifesto released by BJP also stated a monthly honorarium of Rs.15,000 for Anganwadi and ASHA workers. A reduction in electricity bills by 30 per cent with a focus towards renewable sources.

The manifesto aims to make Maharashtra a one trillion dollar economy by the year 2028. The ‘Make in Maharashtra’ policy will be implemented. Further, the aim is to establish the state as a global capital of fintech and AI. For farmers Rs. 6,000 minimum price per quintal of soybean will be given and rebate on SGST  on purchase of fertilizers.

 Focusing on women empowerment the released document mentions 50 lakh Lakhpati didi till the year 2027, establishment of industrial clusters for every 500 self help groups. The document also states that free ration will be given to families who have low income under the Akshay Anna yojana.

Training and learnings on AI to be in state government schools under MAHARATHI-ATL yojana.

Skill census will be done. Further promises included setting up of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Akanksha Kendra in every district which will create 10 lakh entrepreneurs and interest free loans of Rs 15 lakhs to ST, SC and OBCs entrepreneurs.

The manifesto also promised Swami Vivekananda Youth Health card will be launched. The other promises included strict laws against forced conversion. Fort Development authority will be established to preserve and promote the heritage of the state. A ‘senior citizen first’ policy which includes implementing Aadhaar enabled service delivery.  To reduce human wildlife conflict and to prevent loss of life and property modern technologies will be used.

The election in the state will be conducted on November 20 for 288 seats and the result will be out on November 23
