In recent years, Mango has been growing rapidly by winning over doubtful customers and moving up in the market. The most successful strategy used by mango so far has been collaborations, from LA lifestyle brand ‘Simon Miller,’ French influencer Camille Charriere to Scandi stylist Pernille Teisbaek, and now its most high profile collaboration- the Victoria Beckham capsule collection. The news of the collaboration came as Mango celebrated their 40th anniversary with, not to forget, amazing profits.

The pop star turned designer who entered her 6th decade has established a good enough name for herself in the fashion industry by becoming a global style icon. Her success led to the launch of her debut designer collection with Mango. The collection came online and in stores on Tuesday, with long queues of people waiting to try the chic collection. Beckham decided to work with Mango to “ speak to a wider audience in a way that feels relevant to my brand and portrays my aesthetic and DNA.”

Beckham, known for her sleek designs, brings her unique aesthetic to the Mango platform. The collection is a mix of old school luxury and modern comfort and poise. This highly awaited collection is inspired from the 1969 psychological thriller La Piscine, which starred the late fashion icon, Jane Birkin. The collection represents femininity and individuality, the two qualities which are very important to not only Victoria Beckham but also Mango.

Each piece serves modern women’s sophistication and style, from linen blend blazers to flowy spaghetti strap dresses. The collection also boasts an array of accessories- statement bags and elegant footwear. The 55 piece collection also has several metal accessories such as chunky necklaces, chain earrings and belts. The collection is priced between $80 to $500. The collection goes from XS to L and U.S. 2 to 10.

To showcase the amazing collaboration, Mango bagged the talented fashion editor Emmanuelle Alt and photographer David Sims. They perfectly portrayed La Piscine’s sultry French poolside aesthetic.

In the early days of her career, Beckham carved out her Posh Spice persona, emphasizing the Wag aesthetic – bright bodycon dresses and the tacky Birkin bags, from which she quickly retired in order to be taken seriously as a fashion designer.

“ I really love the easy slip dresses and the tailoring in particular. There is a cheekiness, but it’s also very put together with sultriness as well. I was inspired by the iconic film La Piscine, but more specifically by Jane Birkin’s character and her ease. She is all about natural beauty, is strongly feminine and has a real sense of freedom.”

Below are some of the amazing pieces from the collection.
