Vocal For Local

In his 106th edition of the Mann Ki Baat program, Prime Minister Modi pushed for local products in this festive atmosphere. He emphasized that “Vocal for Local” should be the top priority of every Indian. The call for “Vocal for Local” will help many small-scale industries to grow and expand which will be beneficial for India. India is a diverse country and different regions have expertise in different products. This will benefit the weavers, handicraft artisans, craftsmen, farmers and others who are associated with the product in a small way. This will make India self-reliant (Atmanirbhar Bharat) which is the primary objective. Through this, we can also take our local products to the global stage.

Vocal for Local means to believe, promote, consume and grow Indian brands so that they become a strong competition to the foreign brands. This will also boost our Make In India initiative. Through the Mann ki Baat Program, the PM insisted that while buying products we should take a selfie with the concerned person and upload it in the Namo App. He also stressed on making digital payments instead of traditional payments through cash. The PM also mentioned that this year on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti the Khadi had record-breaking sales in Delhi. The Vocal for Local is purely for Indians by Indians.

Mann Ki Baat stressed on the Youth of the nation

The Prime Minister stressed that the country’s youth has a significant role in nation-building. They are the future and they should be provided with ample opportunities. To fulfill this motive, the Mera Yuva Bharat platform will be launched on 31 October which coincides with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

In his Mann Ki Baat radio broadcast the PM said that the youth should register in MYBharat.Gov.in to avail all benefits. This will be a unique effort to integrate youth power to play an active role in building a developed India. It will also harness the energy of India’s youth to take part in the developmental activities aimed at the progress of the nation. Since India has a strong youth demographic profile this initiative will assist the youth and will be a step forward for the progress of our nation.
