As we all are aware the Olympics 2024 is on full swing and held in Paris, our Indian Manu Bhaker just of age 22 came so close to winning a medal in the finals of 25m pistol went onto finished at great fourth place with scores of total:28. But she has already signed off the job by becoming the first Indian to win two bronze medals at a single Olympics!

After a tough start hitting just two of her first five shots, Manu began the final in sixth place. Meanwhile, Jedrzejewski, Rostamiyan and Trinh were out in front with four hits apiece to provide a solid benchmark. But it didn’t deter Manu. She came back extraordinarily well in her second series, hitting four targets and ending up fourth. At that point in time Yang was leading with 8 hits and Manu had six, getting closer to the top.
Manu, however, did a fine job by shooting 4 out of 5. The scores from second through sixth place were all deadlocked at 10 points in a tight competition. Yang has gotten out to a 13-0 lead. Manu disappointed in the next round as she shot at three targets and ended up tied sixth with a score of 13. This essentially made it almost impossible for anyone else to catch up even as Yang extended her lead, 203-186 in that same round.
With a lot of pressure, Manu performed superbly and hit the perfect five to tie on third with 18 points along side Jedrzejewski. Yang led with 20 points, Major was second at 19. Manu, on the other hand missed one target in sixth round of five. Major’s shot was far from perfect either – which three hits, dropping on 4th place. This moved Manu and Jedrzejewski up to second place in the standings on 22 points, two behind Yang.
Manu, good in the qualification stage except for a few aberrations finished second with an impressive total of 592 after the women’s 25m pistol.
Manu’s Determined Effort For Achieving Success
After Manu had a chance to let the performance and nervousness sink in, she reflected: According to PTI, she said: “I was very nervous but I just decided that no matter what happens I won’t give up and even if they pass me, I will concentrate on my game.
She also tweeted on X, That she is extremely overwhelmed by the support and wishes everyone gave her. Winning 2 bronze medals is a dream come true for her. She also stated that this achievement was not just for her but also for everyone who supported her and believed in her. She also added that ” This experience has taught her a lot and will definately add value to her skills and also helped her to gain a lot of motivation”
Manu displayed excellent determination and skill in a thrilling finish. However, she faced immense competition and threats from other sides but ultimately made an amazing comeback to dominate the top rankings again. You could see from her performance that if nothing else, she would be able to win on her determination.Her story is not just only about winning but it’s also about her hard work, determination and not giving up.
