Millie Bobby Brown is manifesting all things in life – Love, Career, Wedding, and all upcoming things. The Stranger Things actress shared the news of her engagement with Jake Bongiovi via Instagram on 11 April 2023.
She announced her engagement by posting a black and white picture of her and her beau where the actress showed off her shimmering ring. She captioned the photo with Taylor Swift’s lyrics of “Lover” writing “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want’em all” with a white heart emoji at the end.
Jake also posted a picture following their engagement with the caption “Forever”. The pictures showed him and Millie on the beach and the second one on a boat during the day.
The couple’s friends congratulated them on Instagram with comments full of love and “Congratulations” to the new couple.
The duo’s dating rumors started in June 2021 when they posted a selfie on social media. The same year in November they confirmed that they were indeed dating and in a relationship.

During an interview with Glamor, celebrating their inaugural of the Global Woman of The Year recipients, the Stranger Things actress opened up about the importance of relying on her instincts despite the uncertainties surrounding her commitment to Jake Bongiovi.
She talked about trusting her instincts about timings, saying “I know I should do this now,” but not because she can’t do it in 10 years. She can do it in 10 years but she doesn’t want to postpone when she knows it is going to work now. She said that all her things including Florence, her beauty brand, and her movie will be present after 10 years. Jake will be there and they are going to be okay. She wants to trust her sense and instincts about timing for things in her life and wants to go forward because she knows everything will work out.
The actress shares with Glamor that she met her fiance “a really…. interesting time” in her life. A time in her life when she was upset about the decisions she had made in life, referring to her relationship with the TikToker, Hunter Ecimovic, whom she was previously involved with.
She shares her experience in her previous relationship where she felt like she couldn’t be herself. The pair came to light when Hunter claimed his relationship with Millie and also mentioned that he groomed her.
Millie said that when she came together with Jake, she felt like she could be loud because he embraced her the way she was. “And I fell in love with myself while being with him,”
When Millie asked him what he loved about her, he answered with everything that she didn’t like about herself. But he loved all those parts about her and so she came to love herself including all those parts.
(Such a romantic answer *sigh*)
Millie also said that having a baby was her dream. With her mother and grandmother as examples in front of her, she knew she would always have one. But when she met Jake, she realized that she didn’t have to be a stereotypical wife to him. “He doesn’t want me to be that either. He wants me to go and do my thing and live my life,” she said.
She said that she is very grateful to Jake’s family for accepting her in their family as she is. They accepted her and embraced her and she feels grateful to have a second family. The wedding planning for Millie is anything but stressful with Jake by her side. She said that she doesn’t feel alone while making decisions as Jake always pitches in and gives his opinions. They both make decisions together as it will be a very intimate day for them so they are both very excited.
