Krystyna Pyszkova from Czech Republic won the coveted title of Miss World 2024 on Saturday, March 9 2024 at a grand event in Mumbai with Indian contestant Sini Shetty making it to top eight.
India was represented by 22 year old Sini Shetty who made it to the final lineup of Miss World 2024 that was hosted by India after 28 years.
Yasmina Zaytoun who was Miss Lebanon secured the position of the first runner-up. The previous Miss World Karolina Bielawska from Poland crowned Krystyna Pyszkova the successor at the grand event there.
Pyszkova becomes the second woman from Czech to win the Miss World title with pageant winner Tatana Kucharova being the one in 2006.
About Miss World 2024- Krystyna Pyszkova
According to the official website of Miss World, Krystyna Pyszkova is a Czech model who’s currently pursuing her separate degrees in law and business administration. The model is fluent in many languages like English, Polished, Slovak and German and is also the founder of the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation and remains actively involved in it’s activities. She is also an advocate for sustainable development via education.
According to Pyszkova’s profile on the website, the proudest moment of the model has been to open an English school for underprivileged children in Tanzania where she had volunteered as well. She also has a passion for music and art as she enjoys playing the violin and the transverse flute while spending nine years at an art academy.
“The Miss World is something that I was working for so hard as the Miss World sisterhood is such an empowering community that I think we’ll be sharing these moments forever. I am grateful to experience this incredible country like India and I’ll be happy to come back soon. I’m sure I’ll I able to bring awareness to such an important thing such as quality education for children.” Says the 22 year old model to the media after being crowned for Miss World 2024.

Ache Abraham from Trinindad and Tobage, Lesego Chombo from Botswana, Krystyna Pyszkova from Czech Republic and Yasmin Zaytoun from Lebanon were the top 4 finalists for Miss World 2024.
About The Pageant
The finale of Miss World 2024 was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar as well as former Miss World-Megan Young. In the 71st Miss World pageant, contestants from 112 countries of the world participated and was held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Singers Neha Kakkar, Tony Kakkar and Shan performed.
The 12 judge panel of the finale consisted of film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, actors Pooja Hegde and Kriti Sanon, news personality Rajat Sharma, , cricketer Harbhajan Singh,social worker Amruta Fadnavis and Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization- Jamil Saidi, Strategic Partner & Host of Miss World India, as well as three former Miss Worlds, including Chillar.
The cast of the web series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” by Sanjay Leela Bhansali — Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Richa Chadha and Sharmin Segalalso walked the stage with 13 Miss World contestants with the show’s newly released song “Sakal Ban” playing as the back track.
The pageant event that went on for a month long showcased a series of rigorous competitions including sports challenges, talent showcases, charitable initiatives etc. All of these featured events were aimed at highlighting the qualities that make these competitions titular to change.
