Actor Tom Cruise confirmed in the month of January 2019 that Christopher McQuarrie was going to write and will also be directing Mission Impossible : Dead Reckoning Part one and Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two movies, which were to be made consecutively. Later, in February 2021, plans for the movie were changed.
Not too long after, the film’s soundtrack was once again composed by Lorne Balfe, who had previously performed the music for the previous two films. In addition to Malta, South Africa, and Norway, shooting took place in the United Kingdom starting in March 2022.
According to Christopher McQuarrie, there are currently plans for more Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning parts, thus the movie series will not finish with Parts One and Two, as he revealed in the month of June 2023.
