Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s highly awaited ‘L2E – Empuraan’ announced

The launch video for the sequel to actor Mohanlal’s highly anticipated Lucifer has been released. Titled ‘L2E – Empuraan, the video also shares the date on which the film will start rolling.

This comes after actor/director Prithviraj Sukumaran announced that there would be an exciting update for the fans regarding the movie. The movie will be a sequel to Lucifer, a Malayalam language political action/thriller which also marked the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The movie was officially announced in August 2022, but the shooting was put on hold due to Prithviraj suffering from a knee injury while working on a different film, which led to a hiatus. Prithviraj Sukumaran who also acts in the film released the news for the fans on social media platforms on Saturday, September 30. He is all set to reunite with Superstar Mohanlal after working on  Bro Daddy together in 2022.

Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2E – Empuraan launch video released

On 30 September, the launch video of the movie was released which consisted of scenes from Lucifer and concluded with Indrajith Sukumaran saying, ‘He is coming back!’

The movie will also mark Lyca Production’s entry into Mollywood. The company took to their Instagram and wrote,  ‘God’s Own Country Welcomes Lyca Productions. We are elated to make our debut in Malayalam cinema with #L2E – Empuraan, teaming up with Aashirvad Cinemas for the highly-anticipated 2nd installment of blockbuster #Lucifer’.

The entire team of L2E – Empuraan took to their social media handles to share the launch video. Prithviraj, Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, and Tovino Thomas all shared the exciting news for the fans. The cast members unitedly welcomed Lyca Productions to the Malayalam cinema along with Ashirvad Cinemas who are co-producing the project.

 It is scheduled to commence filming from October 5 and fans are more than delighted to know about this update. The film will be released in multiple languages including Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The first phase of the filming is scheduled to take place in Delhi and Ladakh.

The film Empuraan serves as a sequel to the 2019 superhit Malayalam movie, Lucifer. Other than Mohanlal, the film featured Manju Warrier, Vivek Oberoi, Tovino Thomas, Sachin Khedekar, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sai Kumar, Saniya Iyappan, Baiju Santosh, Nyla Usha and Suresh Chandra Menon. 

Lucifer was a hit and also ranks as one of the highest-grossing Malayalam movies of all time. Superstar Mohanlal’s upcoming works

Superstar Mohanlal who recently played an iconic cameo role in Thalaivar Rajnikanth’s Jailer, is all set to star in director Vishnu Manchu’s dream project Kannappa.

The director had earlier confirmed the casting of actors Prabhas and Nayanthara. They will sign on to the project after finishing their high-budget outings, namely Salaar for Prabhas and Jawaan for Nayanthara.

The fantasy/drama will be a pan-India film and actor Mohanlal is recently confirmed for the project. The director earlier confirmed that the shooting would kick off in New Zealand. The movie is based on the legend of Kannappa, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva who was considered to be an avatar of Arjuna. 
‘The Complete Actor’, as he is rightly called, superstar Mohanlal can pull off any role with utmost ease and perfection. His power-packed cameo in Jailer received a lot of praise. Watching Mohanlal, Rajnikanth, and Shiva Rajkumar together on the screen was an absolute treat. Fans can’t wait to see the character of Khureshi Ab’raam played by Mohanlal, develop in the upcoming sequel.
