What Motwane has to say about Ranveer and Sonakshi?
In a recent interview with Film Companion, director Vikramaditya Motwane spilled the beans about working with Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh in the 2013 film “Lootera.” He talked about how Ranveer takes a little more time to get into character considering he’s a bit of a perfectionist and needing a few takes to nail it. On the flip side, Sonakshi is a rockstar, getting everything right in the second take! When asked how he handles these differences, Motwane shared his secret sauce. He starts with Sonakshi, who effortlessly rocks the second take, and then moves on to Ranveer, who’s all warmed up by then from doing some off-takes. It’s like a movie-making dance, ensuring both actors shine their brightest. Juggling their unique styles is in fact like creating a delicious recipe for a blockbuster film. And that’s how the magic happens on the big screen! So, in a nutshell, that’s how Vikramaditya Motwane keeps the movie set lively and buzzing with energy. Brilliant, right?
Motwane also shared that Ram Kapoor is a pro at getting scenes right in one go. You just need to talk to him, explain what’s needed, and he nails it. They’ve teamed up in Udaan and Jubilee web series. Motwane also talked about his other Jubilee actors. Sidhant Gupta needs a few takes to get it perfect, maybe three or four tries. Aparshakti Khurana, on the other hand, is quick. After just one take, you give him some directions, and he gets it spot on. It’s like a teamwork dance, adjusting to each actor’s style to make the scenes shine!
