Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma starrer Munjya, the critically acclaimed horror comedy is all set to mark its digital debut. The film was a box office hit upon its theatrical release and is now available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from August 25.
The streaming giant took to its social media handle to announce Munjya’s OTT release.
Helmed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film was initially released in theaters on June 7. The horror comedy was produced by Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films and marks the fourth installment in the Maddock supernatural universe, the other three includes Stree (2018), Roohi (2021) and Bhediya (2022).

Munjya: A horror comedy delight
Munjya, inspired by Marathi folklore is a horror-comedy film that delves into the depths of a haunting family secret. The story follows a young man Bittu, portrayed by Abhay Verma, who is deeply in love with Bela, portrayed by Sharvari Wagh. As Bittu delves deeper into the family history, he becomes entangled in Munjya’s sinister plan. The spirit possesses Bittu, forcing him to confront his own fears and desires. Munjya’s ultimate goal is to marry Bela, and Bittu must find a way to stop him before it’s too late.
