Five peddlers have been arrested by the Hyderabad police in connection to the drug selling case. Aman Preet Singh is one of the arrested who is also the brother of the famous actress ‘Rakul Preet Singh’.
Aman Singh has been alleged to be consuming these drugs in Hyderabad and when taken for test, it was confirmed that cocaine is present in the actor’s body.
The Telangana Anti- Narcotics bureau, Rajendra Nagar police and STO (Cyberbad’s police special operation team) has found five drug sellers who were involved in the crime. According the reports, two Nigerians were also involved in selling of the drugs.
Telangana police had earlier raided a flat in Hydershakotla where they found drugs, passports, bikes, several mobile phones which proved the crime. According to the sources, these drug sellers were involved in selling drugs to the high -profile people in the city.
Cyberbad’s police commissioner has confirmed the presence of Aman Singh as one of the consumers of the peddling gang. It is being said that 13 consumers have been identified till now out of which five were arrested namely- Aman Singh, Aniket, Nikhil, Madhu and Prasad. The consumers also included brother of popular Tollywood and Bollywood actresses. These accused were then taken to the cocaine testing where doubts were cleared.
Regarding the issue the Narcotics Department of Telangana appealed to youth to not fall into pray to such crimes. He also asked the parents and near ones to keep an eye on their family and friends so that such activities are not promoted. Police has verified two main conspirators in drug racketing namely- Divine Ebuka Suzee alias Lebuka and Ezeonyili Franklin Uchen. 2 lakh rupees award has also been announced for anyone who is able to provide information regarding them.

Recently, he made his debut in hindi film industry as well and co-owns a business with his sister Rakul Preet named ‘Starring You’.

This is not the first time a celebrity has been arrested for drug abuse and sadly not the last as well. Similar cases were present earlier which caused a great havoc and negative publicity for celebrities.

- Aryan Khan Scandal: In 2021, a luxury cruise ship was raided by Narcotics department. Aryan Khan who was on the ship was alleged to be involved in the scandal for drug trafficking. He was in custody for few months and the news was in limelight for many months as he is the son of the Khan, one of the most popular actors in Bollywood. This case led to image tarnish of both Aryan Khan and Sharukh Khan. However, SRK revived with his charm in recent movies like ‘Pathan’, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’.
Incidents like these force us to think about trust on our favorite celebrities. Many a times these are scandals used to jeopardize the image and reputation of a successful actor or actress. However, we must try to put our faith on a celebrity with great caution.
