The prestigious NEET-UG exam is conducted nationally for medical aspirants. Students compromise their valuable youth just to fulfill their dream of being doctors. The entire NEET-UG scam and the protests by eminent figures have been a significant brewing situation to notice.
Even after denying the allegation against NTA (National Testing Agency) by Union Education Minister Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan of leaking the exam paper, four students admitted that they paid 30–40 lakhs, and, in turn, the entire question paper was directed to be memorized by them. Mr. Pradhan had no option other than to say that the NEET-UG and UGC-NET papers were “institutional failures.”

NEET-UG Scam: New Updates
What an irony of students that, even after mugging up the entire question paper, 3 of the arrested students scored poorly! The score of the accused students on the NEET-UG exam was unsatisfactory, despite having access to exam papers last night.
The case of Anurag Yadav, a NEET aspirant from Samastipur, has become a focal point of discussion within the NEET community. Anurag managed to obtain the leaked question paper and memorize the answers beforehand, but his efforts did not yield the desired results. He scored only 185 out of 720 in the exam.
This incident has ignited a wave of discontent among students nationwide, leading to protests against the irregularities in the examination process. In response to the mounting controversy, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken charge of the investigation, and the central government has taken the decision to cancel NEET-UG.
Taking swift action, the Supreme Court has also stepped in. Just last week, the apex court issued a notice to the National Test Agency (NTA), seeking clarifications and reprimanding the agency for the allegations made against it.
Simultaneously, in Bihar, four individuals have been arrested for their role in leaking the question papers, with Anurag Yadav being one of them. Moreover, an associate of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has been accused of circulating the papers a day before the NEET-UG exams on May 5.
Leaked Paper Couldn’t Prove to be Helpful
The expectation that Yadav performed admirably in the exams is understandable, but his scorecard paints a different picture. On Wednesday, the 22-year-old admitted that he had obtained the question paper from his uncle a day before the exam. “I was instructed to read and commit it to memory overnight. When I sat for the exam, I encountered the exact questions I had memorized. Following the exam, the police arrived and apprehended me, and I confessed to my wrongdoing.”
Unfortunately, the aspirant did not find any advantage in having access to the question paper beforehand. His scorecard indicates that he scored 185 out of 720, resulting in a percentile of 54.84. In terms of individual subjects, he achieved 85.8 percent in Physics, 51 percent in Biology, and a mere 5 percent in Chemistry.
It is worth mentioning that Yadav is not the sole student who faced disappointment in the exams, despite having the opportunity to review the question paper in advance. The police apprehended three other individuals who also obtained similar scores, with one of them scoring 300 out of 720.
Yadav disclosed that after coming back from Kota, he was escorted to Amit Anand and Nitish Kumar by his uncle on the night of May 4. It was during this time that he was handed the NEET exam question paper and answer sheet, which he was required to go over and memorize overnight.
