Netflix’s ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, ‘Heeramandi’ and others nominated at Asian Academy Creative Awards.

At the esteemed Asian Academy Creative Awards this year, Netflix has made a remarkable impression thanks to four of its original productions that have received 14 National Wins [Nominations]. The APAC Grand Awards, which will take place in December 2024, will see the National Winners represent India.

Nominees for Best Documentary, Best Theme Song, Best Direction (Non-Fiction), and Best Cinematography (Non-Fiction) .

Nominees for Best Documentary, Best Theme Song, Best Direction (Non-Fiction), and Best Cinematography (Non-Fiction) include the compelling docuseries The Hunt for Veerappan. Including Best Feature Film (Fiction), Best Direction (Fiction) for Imtiaz Ali, Best Editing for Aarti Bajaj, and Best Sound for Dhiman Karmakar, Amar Singh Chamkila has been nominated and won several awards this year.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has also received nominations for Best Cinematography (Fiction), Best VFX, and Best Actress in a Leading Role for Manisha Koirala’s outstanding performance. Aayush Gupta is nominated for Best Screenplay, and Kay Kay Menon is vying for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Meanwhile, The Railway Men has also garnered significant national recognition and nominations. Regarding the Best Children’s Program category Mighty Bheem’s Playtime – Class Picnic has been nominated.
