The price of the Apple Pencil is $79. It can also be magnetically attached to the side of the iPad. It doesn’t need to be plugged directly into the iPad’s charging port, for power like the original one in 2015. Hover feature is supported by it,and shows where the pencil is before you actually touch the screen with it.
The New Apple Pencil USB-C has the same sensitivity,latency as the 1st and 2nd Generation Pencils. They are ideal for note making ,sketching ,journaling and annotations, while serving other purposes too.It would be available from November at Rs.7,990. The price is Rs.6,900 for education customers. The education pricing is available to current and newly accepted College students,their parents, the faculty,staff and home-school teachers of all grade levels.
The Pencil is compatible with all iPads that feature a USB Type C port. Hence it would work with iPad (10th generation) ,iPad Pro 12.9- inch(3rd,4th,5th and 6th generations), iPad Air (4th and 5th generation ) and iPad mini (6th generation). The New Apple Pencil has USB -C features, integrated at the top part of the pencil behind the sliding cover. The USB-C port allows for charging as well as pairing with other compatible iPads.
Apple Pencil can be charged via Type-C port and it goes to the sleep state to preserve battery when magnetically attached to the iPads, Apple has mentioned.
The New Apple Pencil doesn’t allow the double tap feature that lets you switch back and forth between tools. It provides tilt sensitivity. However it’s place in the lineup is a confusing one. Being the cheapest Pencil till now, it doesn’t work with the cheapest iPad,that model is still stuck with a Lightning port.

The scattered state of iPads in general right now, makes the iPad pencils more confusing.With iPhones, it becomes clear as to what we’re getting ,the cheaper models are mostly distinguished by their size, and the pricier ones generally just have better hardwares. If we buy a regular iPhone,for day-to-day use the experience is pretty much the same as on the Pro, just with not-quite-as-good cameras.
It’s assumed that this Apple Pencil would be a step for something better in the future.It would make sense if Apple adds another cheap iPad in its lineup and lowers the price of the next version of USB-C model. It would make things clearer for customers with better alternatives and choices which are between budget and full featured. It should be convenient for the customers to choose for the Pencil according to the budget as well as something that works for their iPad.
This new Apple Pencil has almost all the features that were present in Pencil 1st-generation and Pencil 2nd Generation. They had similar tilt sensitivity,low latency and similar accuracy. It integrates well with the Apple ecosystem.It works great with Scribble, Quick note the iPadOS features and also while collaborating with other platforms. It allows better precision when paired with M2 models of iPad Pro.
