For the past two and half weeks, we all have been witnessing the beautiful relationship growing between the singer, Taylor Swift and the NFL player, Travis Kelce.
From first conversations, and cute failed attempts, to public invitations and a movie-like meeting after a game, this leisure bloom of their relationship was quite visible to the public, thanks to the NFL TV.

Too much Taylor?
While many say that there can never be ‘too much’ Taylor, others have said that maybe the NFL is jumping too high with their coverage of Taylor and Travis’s love sparks. Within the last two weeks, Taylor Swift has attended both of their games where the Chiefs were playing. The NFL had taken every opportunity to capture the cheers and remarks of their entertainer fan and feature her on their TV several times.
With Taylor and Travis’s movie-like relationship, everybody seems to be benefitting. Travis Kelce’s Jersey sales have a 400% boost, Taylor attending the NFL has brought more younger audience to watch the show and Taylor’s ERAS TOUR Concert Film trailer was promoted during the games.
Travis Kelce says the NFL is overdoing it!
Travis Kelce, on the podcast show he hosts along with his brother, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, said that he thinks the NFL should calm down. He also said it is fun to see who was at the game, but they are doing too much, especially his situation.
Travis Kelce’s brother told him that on Sunday’s game that they were playing against the Jets, the camera had cut to Swift’s suit around 17 times.
“Damn, that’s crazy!”
Later, Travis also says that celebrities like Taylor Swift “aren’t there to be thrown on T.V.”
Jason Travis’s thoughts on the NFL overdoing it was because they don’t get as many celebrities as the NBA. The basket games have it all sorted out, he said. They have the celebrities on the courtside, they show them once or twice and then get back to the game. Jason Travis’s thoughts were that because of this, they seemed to be fixating on Taylor and his brother, Travis.
NFL defends itself –
The NFL has released a statement defending themselves for their choice and reasons to do the coverage. They clapped back by keeping a picture of Taylor Swift cheering during the game as their X profile header and mentioning her in their Instagram bio.
NFL shared in a statement to People, “We frequently change our bios and profile imagery based on what’s happening in and around our games, as well as culturally,”
They also explained that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s news was a pop culture moment that they leaned into in real-time.
It is also an intersection of sports and entertainment and there has been a lot of positivity around the sport. They defended themselves saying the feature and the news became a loud voice on their own because it was Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
They also added that the vast majority of their content was focused on the game, the players, and a variety of other initiatives, and also their Toy Story Sunday Football, alt cast, the international games, and much more.
On Sunday, October 1, Taylor attended the game with a lot of her star friends.
Travis Kelce has his next game on Sunday where the Chiefs will be playing against the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis. There is no word of Taylor attending the game as she is now on a break from her Eras Tour. She will be back on tour in November.
