90’s star Nicole Kidman received Lifetime Achievement Award from the AMARICAN FILM INSTITUTE on 28th April,2024.

An American nonprofit film organization dedicated to educating filmmakers and preserving the history of the motion picture industry in the country is called the American Film Institute (AFI). AFI is financed by both public membership fees and private donations.

Nicole Kidman had a memorable evening last night, when she received the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award. During the event, which took place in Hollywood, Kidman received her golden trophy from fellow award-winning legend Meryl Streep. 

“It is a privilege to make films,” Kidman stated during her acceptance speech. “And it is wonderful to have worked on films and television with these storytellers who let me be wild and free while portraying all of these unconventional women. Thank you for helping me improve my craft and giving me a temporary place in this world.”.

In fact, she resembled a trophy, dripping in gold sequins. Demna designed Kidman’s custom Balenciaga gown, which featured thin straps and a sweeping train that drew attention. She accessorised with an Omega watch and Gianvito Rossi heels.

Kidman has been a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF since 1994, and UNIFEM since 2006. She was named a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2006.

Between 1990 and 2001, Kidman was wed to actor Tom Cruise; since 2006, she has been married to country music artist Keith Urban. She established Blossom Films, a production company, in 2010.

She was listed as one of the greatest actors of the twenty-first century by The New York Times in 2020. Times named her one of the top 100 most influential people in the world in both 2004 and 2018.
