No mega stars in the movie, still the movie managed to make its place amongst the audience with some of the toughest competitors along, Munjya was able to captivate everyone.
Introduction
A supernatural horror comedy tale starring Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma and Mona Singh, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar is seen reaching a good mark.

The movie starts with a guy name Gotya adamant on marrying a girl named Munni who is older to him, after his family disagrees to his demand of marriage he decides to perform black magic in order to win the girl, but he dies as his attempt backfires as becomes a spirit “Munjya” trapped in a tree.
Cut to present the movie revolves around a boy name Bittu who works in his mother’s salon and is in love with his childhood friend Bela who is in a relationship with some other guy. He goes to attend a family function at his native place with his family which is also the place where Munjya’s spirit resides and also get to know about the hidden truth of his fathers death.
The story unfolds and his world is turned on his head and his life takes a dramatic turn when he falls in the spirit’s trap as the spirit sets his eyes on Bittu’s love interest, the story moves forward and the events unfold in the most hilarious and amusing manner.
Munjya Review
The movie is inclined more towards the comic aspect of the plot, which often tends to remind us that it has to be a horror comedy and not just comedy, nonetheless the movie is a good one time watch with a good humours plot and not so scary environment. The movie though delivers a good dose of laughter at certain specific points as well.
The movie moves with a good speed connecting the dots from both the half but some sub plots are left un-touched and very unclear.

The cinematography is something which cannot be missed while reviewing it because it was something the word “unmissable” is made for, the depth and the portrayal of certain shots was commendable and the details actually took our breath away, well all thanks to the supremely talented cinematographer Saurabh Goswami.
Abhay Verma as Bittu delivers a good performance actually living the character, scary or funny he knows how to excel. Sharvari as Bela manages to give a decent performance and the other supporting character like Bittu’s mother played by Mona Singh and Bittu’s friend Diljit adds to the movie complimenting the cast and in the overall setting of the movie.
The film is made under Maddock Films by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik. The film had its release on 7th June 2024. The film crossed a 100 crore mark on 23rd June and had a total worldwide collection of 108.1 crore.
On work front Sharvari Wagh will be seen in Nikhil Advani’s next titles “Vedaa” which will have his theatrical release on 15th August 2024 and Abhay Verma will be seen in Sandeep Singh’s Safed with its release on 8th August 2024.
