OnePlus Open has finally launched its foldable phone in India. It’s a foldable phone worth 1,39,999 Rs. The company has undercut the competition of foldable phones in India by launching an affordable phone with High-end features. There will be the first sale of the new OnePlus Open in the country on October 27 .

Features of OnePlus Open
The device has a glass back and a metal frame, it is available in colours Voyager Black and Emerald Dusk.The black colour variant has a faux leather finish whereas the green one has a matte frost glass.It has a 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model.
The gap Between the display when the device is folded is nil. The handset wobbles a bit ,when placed on a surface. Though that doesn’t appear to be a deal breaker.It has a slim factor and is lightweight ,making it easier to handle. The people are expected to like the design.
Digital display
The display has good contrast and colours. The LTPO panel offers a smoother experience while saving battery life upto an extent. The device switches between 1Hz and 120Hz depending on the content displayed on the screen. The device has the brightest display in the market, having 2,800 nits of peak brightness lower than the recently launched Pixel 8 Pro with 2,400 nits. The high brightness makes it easier to watch the display in sunlight
OnePlus has a charger in the box along with the phone, unlike other companies who have stopped offering the same.The people would be getting much faster charging support compared to the competition 67W.
Camera
The phone has a really good camera quality, with detailed shots and dynamic range. The shots can get close to cinematic depending on lighting conditions. Night Photography needs improvement. The performance of the camera is reliable in the daylight.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This also powers the OnePlus 11 smartphone. With fast performance, it’s a multitasker . OnePlus Open has the latest UFS 4.0 storage solution. This accounts for the phone’s performance in writing and reading files stored in the phone much faster.
Protection
Smart phones have an absence of water resistance and dust proof. There are however Ingress Protection (IP) ratings for some protection. OnePlus Open would come with and IPX4 rating, it signifies it’s ability to withstand splashing of water and dust. This model doesn’t have an IP68 rating,unlike flagship models It provides water protection upto 30 minutes if the device accidentally falls in water. This can become an issue.
OnePlus says it has incorporated drainage holes on both sides of the spindle to protect the hinge. To ensure that water exits from the same points where it enters, OnePlus has incorporated drainage holes on both sides of the spindle. This minimises the duration and extent of water exposure, helping to enhance the device’s overall durability against moisture.
