Some reviewers praised the film for its engaging twists and turns. The movie builds suspense effectively, particularly in the second half, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. Sunny Kaushal’s performance stands out as a highlight, with his portrayal of a multi-layered character being particularly well-received. Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey also deliver solid performances, with Taapsee shining in the film’s climax.

However, the film has its share of criticisms as well. Some critics felt that Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba lacked the chemistry and spark that made the original film captivating. The script was described as predictable, with the twists feeling forced rather than surprising. The depiction of certain characters and plot points, such as the police investigation, was seen as unrealistic and lacking in logic. Overall, the film has some entertaining elements and continues the thrilling narrative, diving deeper into the complex relationships between the central characters. The story blends romance and thriller elements, showcasing how far people will go for love and revenge, and how the past continues to haunt the present.
