In Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area on May 19, a drunk 17-year-old boy driving a Porsche hit and killed two IT professionals on bikes. Luckily, an auto-rickshaw driver narrowly escaped. The driver’s story came out after CCTV footage of the accident surfaced. The auto driver, Ameen, mentioned that there were three drunk boys in the car. They tried to avoid trouble after the crash, saying they would pay for the damages. The car was speeding over 200 kmph. One of the boys initially ran away but returned later. The police arrived, and the boys were taken away in different police vans.
The cops saw a video from a camera that showed the teenager drinking at a bar before the accident. Police Chief Amitesh Kumar said the boy knew what he was doing. They also nabbed his dad, Vishal Agarwal, for putting a child in danger, and the bar owner and workers from two bars for giving alcohol to a minor.
When they asked if there was a driver in the Porsche, the auto driver said that no driver was in the car, and there were no other cars with them. He further added that the boys would have run away if the airbags had not deployed.
On another note, the temporary registration of the Porsche which was the part of the accident in Pune, was cancelled by the Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO). They sent the report to the Bengaluru Central RTO, where the initial temporary registration took place. Now, they will start the process of removing the registration.
New Modifications in the Porsche Accident Case
Things changed in the accident case on Wednesday when Dr. Vinayak Kale, the head of Sassoon General Hospital, was put on leave. This happened right after he said that he chose Dr. Ajay Taware as the Medical Superintendent because of a suggestion from Maharashtra’s medical education minister Hasan Mushrif and NCP MLA Sunil Tingre.
Beginning of the Accusation Game
The big reveal led to a blame game between the dean and the minister. Mushrif said that he is not all-knowing to know everything about everyone in his department. He mentioned that the dean should have warned the government about the person’s reputation when the suggestion was made. On the other side, Kale confessed that he made an executive decision for Taware’s appointment, following the minister’s instructions.
They said that Sunil Tingre is not talking to the top NCP leaders led by Ajit Pawar. They mentioned that the party does not know where he is because he has not been in touch with the leadership recently.
Moreover, Shivani Aggarwal, the mother of the 17-year-old involved, seems to have disappeared. She came into the spotlight when a video circulated on social media claiming her son posted a rap video on the day he was granted bail. Shivani clarified that the viral video showcasing her son is fake.
Blood Sample Interchanged
There were some local reports saying that the blood sample of the teenager involved in the accident might have been swapped with his mother, Shivani Aggarwal. ABP Majha reported that doctors at Sassoon hospital mentioned in the inquiry committee’s report that the changed blood sample belonged to a woman. However, there has been no confirmation yet that the sample is from Shivani Aggarwal.
Also, the Uddhav Thackeray group of Shiv Sena asked for protection for Ajay Taware after he hinted that he would reveal names in the Pune Porsche case. Sushama Andhare, a Sena (UBT) leader, said that both Taware and Dr. Shrihari Halnor are at risk as they hold important information.
Bail Granted on the condition to write a 300-word essay
The kid, who is the son of Vishal Aggarwal, a real estate guy, got bail from the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) at first. They told him to write a 300-word essay. People got really mad about this decision. Later, the police went back to the JJB, and they sent the boy to a place to watch him for 14 days until June 5. The police are trying to make him face trial as an adult.
