The best comeback for Prabhas

After a string of flops with Radhe Shyam, Saaho, and Adipurush, Prabhas had a solid comeback. It has “Rebel Star” Prabas in his best form and he has given his career’s best performance after the Baahubali series. Salaar is Hombale film’s fourth consecutive blockbuster after Kantara, KGF Chapter One, and KGF Chapter Two

On its opening day, the film minted 178.7 crores and earned the title for the biggest opening for any Indian movie in 2023. This opening-day figure surpassed two of Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest blockbuster films of 2023- Jawaan and Pathaan which earned Rs 129.6 crore and Rs 106 crore respectively on its opening day.  It also surpassed Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal which minted Rs 116 crores on the first day.

However, after the marvelous first weekend, the box office numbers have started to dip. The film made Rs 101.39 crore on its second day, Rs 95.24 crore on its third day, and Rs 76.91 crore on its fourth day. To cover it up, the production house Hombale Films has decided to decrease the ticket fare in the theatres. Except for Dunki, Salaar has no other major competition and is enjoying its exclusive spot for the upcoming New Year’s weekend.
