Prabhas’s latest mega-blockbuster movie, Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire is all set to make an international presence in North America with the release of its Spanish version. It will be released by Cinepolis, which holds 72.5% of the market share in the region.
The distributors took to their social media handles on X ( formerly called Twitter) to make a official announcement about the release .

Prabhas on Salaar success
In an interview to ANI, Prabhas stated that he is incredibly grateful and humbled by the immense love and support showered by the fans. Watching the huge collection of the film at the box office is no less than a reward for him and his team. He further stated that everyone working on the project had put their heart and soul into it and was grateful to see the positive result it had on the audience. Salaar is Prabhas’s biggest hit after the successful Bahubali series. Post that, he faced back-to-back disaster. Director Prashant Neel stated in an interview with Pinkvilla that Prabhas is over the moon and his reaction is euphoric after seeing the success of the film. Fans also thanked the KGF director to collaborate with Prabhas and give him his much-anticipated success at the box office. It is now the fifth highest grossing film from the South Indian industry after Rajinikanth’s 2.0, Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2, and SS Rajamouli’s films, RRR and Baahubali 2.Hombale Production, the presentors of Salaar , has Kantaara 2 , KGF 3 and Baghera in its pipeline.
Salaar OTT Release
The film is all set to make a OTT Debut soon after its successful stint in the box office. The film also has the highest ever digital deal made for any South Indian movie. Recent buzz is that the film can be released on Netflix on January 12th on the occasion of Sankranti. However, no official confirmation has been out yet.
Salaar Box office records
The film had a massive run at the box office with the record breaking collection of Rs 700 crores worldwide. Salaar became the highest grossing film of 2023. It also had a record breaking opening day collection of Rs 178.9 crores and surpassed Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawaan which earned Rs 106 crores and Rs 129.6 crores respectively .

An action- thriller directed by Prashant Neel stars Prabhas , Shruthi Hassan and Prithviraj Sukumaram and Jagapathi Babu in the lead roles The film was appreciated massively by critics and fans alike and was well received in all its version – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil , Kannada and Malayalam. The film had endded on nervous wrecking cliffhanger with the two stars – Prabhas and Prithviraj characters – Deva and Vardhana in a face off. The sequel of the film is titled Salaar Part 2 Shouryaanga Pravam. The makers hinted that the film will be released in the second half of 2025.
The producer also stated that the Salaar Part 1 was just a trailer ans the sequel is going to be packed with Action He also stated that the sequel will be like Game of Thrones with a lot of politics, drama and action
With its release in Spanish language, it is all set to make a impact in it as well.
