The UAE government’s goodwill gesture in 2015, allocating land for the temple, further strengthened the bond, with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, generously gifting the land. A significant memorandum of understanding for the temple project was signed on February 10, 2018, during a meeting between BAPS representatives, led by Prime Minister Modi, and Sheikh Mohamed in the Presidential Palace. The foundation stone-laying ceremony took place on April 20, 2019, attended by dignitaries from India and the UAE.

Designed by RSP Architects Planners & Engineers Private Limited and Capital Engineering Consultants, the temple stands at 32.92 meters in height, 79.86 meters in length, and 54.86 meters in width. Drawing inspiration from ancient Hindu scriptures, the colossal structure, poised to become West Asia’s largest Hindu temple, accommodates up to 10,000 people. Symbolizing the seven emirates in the UAE, the temple features seven towers or shikharas, each adorned with depictions of deities. The intricate design incorporates narratives from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavatam, and Shiva Purana. Beyond its religious significance, the complex offers a multifaceted space including a visitor center, prayer halls, exhibitions, thematic gardens, and advanced sensor technology ensuring structural stability.

Crafted from pink sandstone sourced from Rajasthan and white marble from Italy, the temple represents a harmonious blend of materials. The assembled stones were shipped to Abu Dhabi, where engineers and workers utilized modern technology to complete the construction.
