The temple’s entry gates were decorated with floral arrangements, featuring a yellow petal ‘Om’. Also visible in multiple places were imitations of a bow and an arrow crafted from flowers. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra states that on Sunday, Ram Lalla, seated in the temple, was donned in a light pink.
“At Ayodhya, prayed to Prabhu Shri Ram for the well-being of my fellow 140 crore Indians,” Prime Minister Modi wrote on X following his visit.
On May 20, at the fifth round of voting, the Ayodhya district will be represented in the Lok Sabha by Faizabad, under where it lies.
What happened?
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister gave speeches at rallies at Etawah and Sitapur, Visiting the temple, Followed by a massive roadshow.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Lallu Singh, the BJP’s candidate for Faizabad accompanied the Prime Minister in this Bhakti roadshow. Despite the intense heat, people had been waiting in line along both sides of Rampath since noon to see the Prime Minister, who was taking the darshan of the temple-consecrated Ram Lalla.
The entire temple town was covered in saffron, orange, and yellow drapes or paint, and youths were observed patiently waiting for the BJP leader’s unique rath for over two hours, with cutouts of Modi appearing on the streets. A group of women wearing sarees passed in front of the prime minister’s car according to party officials.
By dividing Rampath into two portions and allowing people to gather up to the divider, the administration created extra space for the crowd. Rose petals were thrown at PM on a decorated four-wheeler by people on both sides of the street. Furthermore, the roadshow’s duration was limited to 2.2 kilometres, with its conclusion being at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk.
Benefits of the Bharatiya Janata Party
Another benefit for the BJP was that the roadshow, which the PM used in order to increase the chances of BJP candidates in Ayodhya and surrounding seats, was eagerly attended by devotees and pilgrims travelling from nearby districts and states to Ayodhya and the Ram temple.
The entire Modi fan waiting area was split up into more than 50 separate areas in order to prevent extreme crowding at a single location and to improve crowd management. Stage actors stood in front of the barricaded blocks, facing the road where the roadshow was taking place, to limit pedestrian traffic.
Ahead, near Hanuman Garhi, BJP workers and a crowd gathered at the fences, anticipating what was ahead. Nearly everyone in the front row was wearing saffron BJP caps and stoles while shouting “abki baar Modi Sarkar” and some of them were waving large cutouts of Modi.
PM has already questioned the “dynastic credentials and the legacy” of the Congress and Samajwadi Party, while reminding people of his humble background and speaking at rallies in Etawah and Dhaurarha.
The PM stated that he and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath do not have children and that they both work tirelessly for the children of their countrymen, asserting that the Congress and SP are fighting the polls for the generations to come.
“BJP-affiliated Muslims”
Muslims, according to Modi, are starting to realize that they are being used as pawns by the Congress and the INDIA bloc in Dhaurahra. He claimed that after witnessing the party’s efforts, the community was supporting the BJP.
