Prime Minister’s Visit to Madhya Pradesh: Power-Packed Development and Vision for Progress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Madhya Pradesh on Thursday to unveil a series of development projects worth approximately ₹12,600 crore. The projects spanned various sectors such as road, rail, energy, housing, and drinking water. In addition to the project unveiling, He laid the foundation stone for the ‘Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan‘ in Jabalpur. During his visit, Modi criticized the Congress party, accusing them of corruption in government schemes during their rule.

In his speech, He made veiled references to the Congress-led UPA government, highlighting the various scams that occurred under their administration. He emphasized that since coming to power in 2014, his government has been committed to eradicating corruption and ensuring that funds meant for the poor are not misappropriated. He cited the removal of eleven crore fake beneficiaries from government lists through the use of technology as evidence of his government’s anti-corruption efforts. He attributed the success of these endeavors to the trinity of Jan Dhan accounts, Aadhaar, and mobile phones, which have helped eliminate corruption from the system.

Prime Minister Points Critical Importance

Modi urged the people to safeguard the progress achieved by the state over the last two decades under the BJP government. He stressed the responsibility of the citizens in ensuring that future generations witness a developed Madhya Pradesh. PM applauded the state government’s efforts in agricultural exports and emphasized the need for industrial development to propel Madhya Pradesh forward. He also highlighted Jabalpur’s significant contribution to India’s defense production exports, noting the increasing demand for Indian defense products worldwide.

He predicted that this would lead to the creation of thousands of new employment opportunities in the state. Extending his best wishes on the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati, Modi expressed his gratitude to the entire tribal society, the people of Madhya Pradesh, and all citizens of the country. 

Vision For Farmers and Youth

He drew attention to the transformative impact of the unveiled projects on the lives of farmers and youth, stating that the establishment of new industries would generate employment opportunities. The Prime Minister also lauded India’s achievements in the ongoing Asian Games, emphasizing the importance of such successes in fueling the passion of the youth for building a developed nation.

 Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi commended the spirit of Swadeshi (self-reliance) and highlighted the important role of India’s youth in the startup ecosystem. He shared updates on the country’s cleanliness campaign, revealing that more than 9 lakh cleanliness programs involving nearly 9 crore citizens were conducted on October 1. Madhya Pradesh received recognition for its cleanliness efforts, ranking at the top in the country.

India-Bashing Approach

The Prime Minister condemned certain political parties for their “India-bashing approach,” especially when the country’s accomplishments are being celebrated globally. He criticized their skepticism about initiatives such as the Digital India campaign and India’s COVID-19 vaccine, stating that they even questioned the credibility of the Indian Army. Prime Minister Modi also expressed disappointment over the criticism directed at the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, emphasizing his government’s commitment to social harmony and preserving India’s heritage.

In conclusion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his government’s dedication to the welfare of the underprivileged. He highlighted the expansion of the Minimum Support Price (MSP) to encompass around 90 forest produce, ensuring that a fair price is offered for these commodities.

Additionally, he mentioned the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam and the PM Vishwakarma scheme, initiatives aimed at empowering women and promoting skill development, respectively. Madhya Pradesh, along with four other states, is scheduled to hold assembly polls later this year.
